Funwhole Book cafe photos and thoughts

Funwhole Book cafe photos and thoughts

As I mentioned in a previous post I have been keeping myself busy and my mind occupied by building some kit houses and such recently and I thought i would start a series of Funwhole Friday posts

Funwhole you may think is a weird name and I do agree with you they could have come up with a better name, but thats about my biggest critique of them so far.
The first set I built was the carpentry van, which I did a post on here and the second build was this one I am sharing photos of today the Book Cafe

And yes I have also done a post on the Record Store as I had an accident buildign the book Cafe and dropped a section and I think a couple of the bricks feel into our Air conditioning/heatign vents, the company weas greta when I told them I had lost a couple of pieces they shipped them out at no cost, great customer service, received the bits a couple of days ago and finished the build.

Now as you can guess from the photos and previous posts Funwhole is a competitor to Lego which of course is the big name in this field, but when I saw a post about funwhole and did some research, with the more resonable prices and the fact they come with lights I decided to give them ago and my experience thus farw ith them is greta the quality of the packaging, the pieces and the instructions to me seems top notch

and here is the Book Cafe

I turned off all the lights in my little photo studio in the basement for the first couple of shots to let the lights shine out.
In th emanuals for this one and I think the others as well, they have an inspiration story, here is the one for the book Cafe

*Cafe Librarie Brise, a book Cafe in a small town inthe south of France, is now owned by Elsa who inherited it fromher parents, Pierre and Julia.
The couple forst met at the Cafe and their inspiriring converstaions fueled Pierres succesful writing career, allowing him to purchase the cafe with his royalities.
This charming spot has become a cherised hub for literature enthusiasts to meet, shat and enjoy coffee.

Elsa who spends her spare time reading and writing, continues to nuture her own literary passions.
One day a visiting publisher noticed Pierres books on display and, after chatting with Else developed a keen interest in her writing as well*

Now i dont know if other brick bands incluse inspiration stories but I thought this weas a nice touch

OK this shot i got the focus a bit wrong but shows some of the cool detail inside the building, its cool that it had doors and panels that open to see all the detail

Bottom line i am very happy with the quality of the builds, the instructions, the cool details and lighting and will be building more of the funwhole sets

And that’s all folks

Lego do create some cool sets, but they do not make any with lighting kits included, they can be purchased from other companies, but this company funwhole make kits complete with lighting

Hello Mr. @tattoodjay

You have a beautiful way of keeping the mind occupied

It's a shame you lost some pieces, but it's good that the company replaced it at no additional cost. Excellent service

How great to see everything put together

Beautiful photographs

That's so awesome. I really need to check out this company. It's been a long time since I messed around with my Legos, but this is really giving me the itch to want to dig them out again!

Another nice Funwhole build of yours. You are right, the lighting does have a nice added touch. That is pretty cool their support was so responsive to you.

Such a cool build! I bet you're getting ready for the next one as well. They are a lot of fun to play with, aren't they? That was a pretty complicated build you put together. I really like their attention to details though, very nice!

Very cool coffee shop... The pieces really look like Lego... but it's a plus to see the light inside. And the customer service seems excellent.
Have a great Friday

Very cool build and nice story to give it some more intrigue. I like that the company replaced the lost parts. I had a similar experience recently. I asked for a part number and if I could order a replacement. They just shipped me a new one for free. I was impressed. These days, good customer service is so refreshing.
