Fun Friday the general store

Fun Friday the general store

Continuining with my Friday fun posts I will share today some shots of the LUmibricks Old West General Store
You may note I switched from Funwhole ot the new Name Lumibricks as today they official rebranded tot he new Name Lumibricks which so much better fits there sets

The General store is set number 9057 and comes with printed tiles and not stickers, which I personally prefer

If your considering trying out a set and do not like stickers then buy a set with a number 9036 or higher from then on the sets did not have stickers but instead printed tiles

The Introduction for this set is as follows

Ladies and gentleman, step right up and take a journey back in time. Before you stands one of the oldest surviving general stores in the country, a tue relic from the late 19th Century when settlers were just beginning to put down roots in this very town

As you look around, take in the sight of these original stack boxes, sturdy boots, and dusty jars. Notice the still functioning telephone- an innovation that was first of its kind here. Imagine the lively hustle and bustle of the Old West, where the store owner, the friendly clerk, the railway worker, gold miner with dreams of fortune, a humble peasant, and even a sharp eyed detective cross paths. this place was more than just a store, it was the heart of a growning community.

Lets start with a front on shot of the store, spent a bit of time editign this adding the trees in the background and the sky

here is one of the characters/minifigs in this set with a horse and cart
Some may have noted quite a difference between the lego Minifigs and the funwhole/Lumibrick ones, the lego ones being more square ie brick shaped whereas the Lumibrick legs and arms are rounder.

Some people really do not like the Lumibricks minifigs as putting the hand son the arms can be a bit of a pain, but I am getting used to them now and love the style of them with cool outfits and such

Hello Mr. @tattoodjay, good morning.

What a beautiful collection! I love what you do, a very fun activity. I also think this name is better.

Beautiful and colorful photographs.

Have a beautiful day.

I totally agree with you. The details are quite amazing in these pieces. It makes sense that they would change their name. The new one fits their style much better than Funwhole.

I have never heard of Lumbricks before, but the set is giving me some serious nostaligia, as I loved Legos when I was younger. I even specifically remember having some western themed sets with the horses. They look so similar to the Lego sets, but I'll have to admit the arms and legs do throw me off a bit. Not really in a bad way, just different. I do also enjoy their cool outfits, and your photos are very well done. Thank you for sharing!

I to loved Lego way back, and when I decided to do some at first I was thinking of Lego but found these for a lot more reasoionable prices and the fact they include lighting i had to give them a go and have been very happy with them

I'm glad to have learned about them. The Legos have gotten so expensive, and its cool to see a more cost-effective competitor of comparable quality. I have some birthdays coming up for the nieces and nephews, I think I know what I will be getting them now. Thank you for sharing!

Those sets really do have amazing detailing, and now a whole new rebranding to go with it as well. Did this one come with stickers or preprinted tiles? They have great eye for details though, the power line was a nice touch. What a cool company.

I to think the new name is a lot better, some of the retro house series could well fit well in Vermont :)
