Early morning walk on Popes Island

Early morning walk on Popes Island

Good Morning and have a great day

Today I will share a few shots from a walk on Popes Island, as usual for me these were mostly taken in the blue hour before sunrise, Its a close spot for me to visit less than a ten minute drive unless the swing bridge opens to let boats pass through then you can be delayed for 15 to 20 Minutes, luckily for me this morning i didn't have an issue with that so got there quickly

After i parked a bit behind where I took this first photo, it was still pretty dark so I got out my light painting gear and did some light painting shots, I was quite happy with hose this one came out with the boats in Popes Island Marina in the background
this next shot is from a similar spot when it got lighter of some of the boats in the marina, some real nice and expensive boats there I am sure

I must do a post at some stage showing my light painting gear, but basically this one was taken with my camera on a tripod, using two Ants on a melo RGB critter flashlights which can be changed for different colors and patterns and a different light saber attachment on each one, the star effect are with a little flashlight

I mentioned the swing Truss Bridge and here it is, and that little building on the right is part of the control station for it, when it opens one of the crew also goes up into the little booth on top of the bridge, I would love to be able to be on the bridge one day when it opens, but have bene told by one of the team working there one day they cannot allow that

It's always impressive to see the shear number of boats in the harbor. That's a lot of money sitting there!

Ohh yeah I am sure the money floating out there or tied up in the docks is astronomical

Hello Mr. @tattoodjay

What a beautiful feeling to walk close to the coast and enjoy the presence of so many boats.

What beautiful photographs.

Beautiful shots! The light painting adds such a magical touch to the early morning marina—love how you captured the calm before sunrise. That swing bridge shot is fascinating too!

That light painting is really improving, great job! All the ships in the marina are amazing, just the sheer number of them out there. Not for me, that's for sure, I'd be sea sick... Great sunrise shots, they came out beautifully!

I probably would get seasick as well, based on past experience mainly on ferries

I am happy with how I am making progress with light painting, will share a post just with light painting soon

Your photos have not lost their allure, and in fact it seems to have gotten better over the years. I see you are also even now in the lighting field, and I know nothing about it.

All of the photos in here are great, and I cannot even pick a favorite. Just goes to show how good it is.

Other than the scenic views, I also enjoy the contrast in colors.
