early morning at the port

early morning at the port

Good morning and have a great day

I was thinking that perhaps in recent posts it may have come across as I am complaining or whinging about not getting out for my early morning or any time of day photo walks, but today I will try and take a more positive spin on it.

Health, especially as one gets older, but to be honest, it is something we should focus on no matter what our age is. Perhaps if I had focused on my health more when I was younger, I would not have all the health issues I have these days, I did some crazy things when I was younger and beat up my body, and have the aches, pains and scars to remind me of that, but I had fun and cannot change thatnow, but now in my mid 60 I need to listen to the Drs and take acre of myself, so not being able to get out for photos for the last couple of months I had to do, and for the next gfew monsths avoiding the cold is common sense which I now seem to have found within myself.

So my new routine is to get up at my normal time, about 4 AM and get some steps in our sunroom, not trying to hit the 10K I was before as my weight is at a good level so happy if I average somewhere around 7K each day.

Then i come up onto my PC, and edit a few photos and relive the morning walks virtually and then prepare a post.

as I said I do also have some creative ideas to try for photography in my basement and picked up a few little things to help with that and will start with that soon.

NOw onto the photos I picked for today was an early morning visit to the port

it was quite dark that morning when I got there, not sure why I felt the need to say that its always dark when I head out for my early morning walks, but what isn't always there is a full moon, now this walk was when my hernia was starting to bother me so I was taking a lighter camera bag with just one lens, and if i had known it was a full moon that day I may have considered taking out my biggest lens to get shots of it, so thinking about it now it was probably a good idea I didnt know it was a full moon as thta big lens is heavy LOL

The full moon over some boats inthe port

funnily enough this spot is kind of the opposite, until earlier this year I had walked by this pier many a time and never walked out on it, probably because it is located by a spot where cars park and I had never really noticed it

I didn't see it that way at all! I know you have been dealing with health stuff, and I get frustration more than anything from your comments. I totally understand! The photos look great as always!

That is true @tattoodjay that health must be taken care regardless of age. I am sorry to hear that you are having some changes in your routine now because of some stated reasons I don't want to reiterate. I felt the satisfaction you had when you said you enjoyed your younger years if it was killing your body gradually. The memories are happy regardless of now. That is important to think. At least you are now making sure to get your body in proper caring. Despite that, your photos are still great as usual. It is really attention-grabbing when it comes to the emphasis of the subject. And what I like more is you create stories for port, which is often overlooked.

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay, how are you?

What you say is so true, health is very important and we must take care of it regardless of age, because as you rightly mention, it takes its toll over the years. You're doing the right thing by taking care of yourself.

Beautiful shots, I love it when you visit this area of the port.

Have a great day!
