Early Morning at the Port

Early Morning at the Port

Good Morning, I hope all is well with you and wish you a good day
I was just thinking, why do I often feel the ned to preface my titles with Early morning, those that follow me most likely knowe that most of my walks take place in the early morning, before and through the blue hour and sunrise, so perhaps it would make more sense if I titled a post like this at the port, and only dd a reference to the time of day for the odd walks I take during the day.

Sorry I have a tendency to just type what comes into my mind as I am preparing posts, and often its probably boring to read, but its just the way I am.

But do not worry I do censor out crazy thoughts that comeinto my head sometimes lOL

But as the title say I am sharing a few shots today from an early morning walk at the port here in New Bedford MA

the Port is one of the closest spots I go to for early morning walks, so often if I am running a bit late I choose to head here the exception being if its a foggy morning, which I thinki is a cool spot to visit on those days so even if I am out early I may head to the port then.

one thing i like about being at the port early and the need to take long exposure shots the water can come out crystal clear almost like a mirror such as in this first shot showing some of the commercial fishing boats

and a few more of them , this spot often doesnt have the two boats in the foreground docked there, but at the moment they are doign repairs on one of the piers so in other spots boats are havign to squeeze in more than usual

there was only subtle colors at sunrise that morning but also hardly any wind, so the water was still and add in the longer exposures got some cool mirror like reflections

looking out one of the piers or docks, I am not a boater so not an expert on all the terms, off tot he tright in this shot is the pier under construction work

I think the best time for a walk is in the morning at dawn, especially in summer.

What a beautiful place to visit and walk near the boats, and what beautiful photographs you've provided us with this time.

Beautiful photographs, dear friend @tattoodjay

Have a beautiful day.

Oh interesting, I never knew we can now put a Google Maps location in our posts. Whoa. As for the docks, well it's like you've seen one you've seen 'em all. 😁

Each photo conveys a sense of calm that is greatly appreciated...
Just a question, out of curiosity, are there never any waves in that port?

and yes there are often waves there, but since i am there early morning, the long exposures I take tend to flatten out the water
Have a great day

It must be refreshing to have such a picturesque spot like the port in New Bedford for your early walks.
