early morning at the port

early morning at the port

This post I planned to share yesterday, but as I said then, havign got out for three walks recenly I was able to do a more recent walk and share that, so sharign this post today as just a standard post and not part of the Wednesday walk challenge

I am quickly editing this to share today so some of the rest of the post may refer tot he Wednesday walk, and i just do not have time to change it all

these shots are from early morning walks at the port here in New Bedford

Starting with one in the blue hour

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

I wonder what inspired the names of some of the ships. Was Pamela Ann a looker? Maybe she was the owners daughter. So many stories in a place like this. Great shots as always!

Greetings brother! I always come away very impressed with your photographs. Capturing sunrise shots is a pleasant experience, and reading your post made me realize that I have a long, long time without taking a walk before the sun comes up, so maybe I'll do it soon. Those hours are the coolest here in Venezuela, although I am not on a coast, I don't think it will be as nice a walk as this one you share, but I know I will be happy doing it... I send you a sincere hug and wish you an excellent day when you read this 🙏

NOt everyone is a morning person, since I was maybe 14 I have bene waking at $AM every day no matter what time I go to bed and its a habit I cant break, mind you in the warmer months I am glad to get up and out at that time for early walks
Have a great day

Wow, we are both early risers no matter what. That's my best time of the day hahaha, but I use the time to do things at home, while my wife sleeps about four hours longer than me, I love the silence of that time, but I rarely go out to watch the sunrise, You have inspired me anyway, I'm sure I will do it in the next few vacation days. There is a street near here that I have always wanted to photograph especially on a Sunday at sunrise, I'm sure it will be clear of people at that time.

MY wife is the same, most days I can get out for a morning walk, on nice days get home and edit some photos and catch up on here before she gets up
