Allen C Haskell Gardens

Allen C Haskell Gardens

Today I will share a few shots from a visit to the Haskell Gardens here in NEw Bedford MA

A little bit about the gardens
The late Allen C. Haskell, a lifelong New Bedford resident and famed horticulturist, assembled these six acres—the site of a traditional New England-style common, beautiful historic gardens, and one of the oldest homes in the city—over more than 30 years. Today, it’s a public park and unlikely botanical respite, blooming in the heart of New Bedford.
It is supported by a Group called the Trustees who maintain many parks inthe area

Let me start with a shot just upon walking into the gardens

This reminds me a lot of some of the gardens we have near where we live. I like that rich people decide to give things like this back to the community.

Wishing you a great time heading toward Spring the warmer months are kinder to us as we get older normally, not so in Durban it's stifling hot and humid. !LUV
