A nice sunset over the pond in Buttonwood Park
A nice sunset over the pond in Buttonwood Park
As many of you may well know I am more of a morning person, most of my walks are starting an hour before sunrise, but winter slows me down, with age I do not handle the cold as well as I used to, I havent bene out for a sunrise walk for weeks, but when we have a nice day with temps above 45 I have popped out during the day for a walk and i think my last one was maybe three weeks ago when I visited Buttonwood Park here in New Bedford at Sunset.
Since then we have had a cold speel the best chance to get out for a walk was this past Wednesday when the temp hit 50F, but with the wind chill it was about 37, but even if it had bene nice i wouldnt have bene able to get out for a walk as my wife had a couple of appointments that afternoon and i went with her, or drove her to them.
But ohh well life is still good and they say spring warmer temps may come early so will not be too long before I can get out for a walk more often, but in the meantime here are some shots from my last outdoors photo walk

The colors were not spectacular but it was a nice walk and catching some shots over the pond
This next shot is from same spot as the first one turnign to look at the Warmign house by the pond, now a facility used by the council for the aging

Hello Mr. @tattoodjay good day
I hope the low temperatures soon give way to the warm days of spring
Beautiful sunset shots
Given your location, it does make sense that you would get more sunrise photos than you do sunset ones :) We actually have places that advertise they are on the sunrise side of the state. Meanwhile you are on the sunrise side of the country! Nice shots!
Indeed there are plenty of spots for sunrises here, but still some for sunsets as well I just seldom get out for sunsets lOL
Wow, this is truly an extraordinary shot, the sunrise is truly amazing.

Beatiful reflections @tattoodjay, it just reminded me the series of "Stranger Things", where another world is just beneath us, reflected... With an exception of your captures are beatiful where as that series is a bit dark mooded, I prefer your view :)

I saw that series and can relate to what you mean

I used to live on the sunset side of the island, and watching it became a cherished ritual. Then, when I went to school on the sunrise side, I realized how important it is to appreciate both perspectives – the beginning and the end of each day. !BBH
yes both can be special times of day

I like your way of operating, getting up early and out and about is a great way to start a day and gives that sense of pupose.
Some amazkng photos here too by the way. I especially liked this one 👌
getting up early has bene my habit since i was 14 or so, its a habit I cannot and dont really want to break
My Dad and Father in law are both the same. Me, less so, I flip flop between very early starts and the odd lay in especially in the darker Winter months.
👍🙂👍
Interesting to see sunset over a park you photograph often. Nice shots. I don't get many sunsets either I'm usually out early not late.
Seems were the same both morning people ;)
