The media is going to make a big deal about government shutdowns. It tends to be a lot of noise. Governments are havens for inefficiency, laziness, and waste. There are many core services the public requires. However, much of it is bloat.

Each time there is a shutdown, the media losses its shit. It is like when the credit rating of a country is downgraded. For 2 days it is the story then fades.

When was the last time the USG shutdown? How many remember or even care?

The media wants clicks and ratings.

Well said! I don't remember the last time there was a shut down and I don't care.

And you're right on point with the clicks... even the New York Times is in it for the clicks! But the hard-core believers will never think that is true!

Nope.

Anyone who believes the mainstream media is foolish. Whether it is the WSJ, NYT, CBS, Foxnews, or CNN, it is propaganda.

They can never shut down for long periods because then people might realize they don't really need them! 🤣

LOL yeah at least for 60% of the services. They really serve no purpose. There is a percentage that is required. The thing is a lot of the payments are automated so people are no longer needed for that.

LOL! In fact, I would dare the government to shut down for 6 months with full pay to sit at home and do nothing. They would never do it because they would be too afraid of the realizations that would occur.
