Hollywood killed the movie star. This is aiding in its downfall. Anyone who is a box office name is over 60. The big ones, Stallone, Cruise, Arnold, Liam, Denzel, and Costner are all up there in years.
The move to franchises means that stars were pushed aside. The IP was more important.
Now, people are tired of the IP and that is the death curse.
