Here is a correction:

Ron Darling only played through 1995. He did not play for Art Howe who started to manage the A's in 1996.

Also Davey Johnson never managed the Oakland Athletics.

Thank you for correcting me, I appreciate it. To confirm, Ron Darling played for the following managers outside of the NY Mets:

  • Buck Rodgers (Montreal Expos, 1991)
  • Tony La Russa (Oakland Athletics, 1991-1995)
