Another Nail In The Coffin Of The EU

The European Union was formed after the fall of the Soviet Union. The goal was to create an economic zone that rivaled the United States. From this, the belief was that another superpower would emerge, to counter the U.S. status as the only superpower.

Over the last few decades, that took place to a degree. It was, however, due to the rise of China, not the EU. In comparison to the United States, the EU has gone backwards economically.

The death of the EU is a topic I wrote about on various occasions throughout the last few years. As we move closer to 2030, we see the end nearing. For those looking, it is becoming clear how this will unfold.

Another Nail In The Coffin Of The EU

Arrogance by the leadership of the EU is going putting it in a death roll. The latest is the fight they decided to pick with Trump.

To say this is a suicide missions is an understatement.

The problem for the EU is Trump fully grasps their position in the world. This is something the EU leadership fails to realize.

In this article I will go through a few of the major point which sealed the EUs fate.

Economic Devastation

Germany is the largest economy of the 27 member states of the EU. It is an old economy that is based upon mercantilism. This means something is built and either consumed locally or exported. It was a sound model during the Industrial Revolution and thereafter, one that made Germany one of the leading economies after the WW2 obliteration.

However, this is no longer valid. We are in the digital age. We also see consumerism as the basis for economic viability. Here is where both Germany and China has issues.

It is also where Trump has full advantage. For some reason, the EU thinks it has something to offer.

Globally, for every dollar of consumption, 25 cents occurs in the United States. This is done with a population of 330 million. To contrast, the EU has 450 million people, yet only consumes about 12 cents per dollar spent globally.

When negotiating a trade agreement, this is a vital point to consider.

The Technological Age

I have asked this before: what is the largest technology company in Europe?

The answer really doesn't matter since it isn't a global player. We have the US with Meta, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon. In the East, China has Tencent, JD.Com, and Alibaba.

When it comes to AI, we see most of the models coming out of these two countries. The EU has a couple in different segments, but nothing to rival what the others are doing. On top of this, they lack the platforms to deliver the AI services.

Trump simply bypassed the EU by going to the Middle East. They have a lot of money and seek to diversify their economies. The trip yielded hundreds of billions in deals, establishing a likely bond between the two areas.

Beating The War Drums

Everywhere you look, Europe is talking about war. The leaders of the EU, who are tied to NATO, want to attack Russia. They believe EU will take its place at the head of the table if they can absorb the $75 trillion in natural resources.

Of course, they can't make this claim. Thus, they assert that Putin is intent on taking over Europe. It is simply foolish to believe that.

Ask one simple question: Why?

What does Europe have which Putin would want? Debt? There are no natural resources. The population is aging in many of the countries. Most of the economies are in decline. As stated, there is little in the way of technology.

A couple countries such as Hungary came out against the idea and they were shot down by Brussels changing the EU rules regarding security measures. What once requires a unanimous vote is now a simple majority.

It is likely that, in a couple years, Ukraine does not even exist as a nation. It is not part of the EU but this is a proxy for the battle. I would expect some countries within the EU to start distancing themselves from Brussels.

Interesting analysis, my friend. I think Trump is very well advised if this is the case. I'll keep investigating. I think it's a good topic.

Definitely, the European Union is facing big challenges both economically and technologically, especially compared to the US and China, which have taken the lead in the digital age.

Really, quite interesting to learn about this,

This post raises thought-provoking questions about the true motivations behind current geopolitical tensions. It’s important to critically examine narratives and consider the broader strategic interests at play beyond just superficial level claims.
