The Enchantment of Ulee Lheue Sea: A Meaningful Journey on the Coast of Banda Aceh

A boat passes by the border of the river that is directly connected to the sea. Every morning, fishermen usually pass through this route to go to the sea for sustenance. A fisherman is seen with his boat. This place is located on the coast of Ulee Lheue Beach, Meuraxa District, Banda Aceh City, Indonesia.

The sea water looks a little murky with a brownish color, similar to the color of soil because it is mixed with silt.

But on the other hand, the sea water is as enchanting as a painting, with beautiful colors and splashing waves.

When I visited, I looked out to sea because I didn't want to feel lonely. Finally, I was accompanied by a portion of meatballs that I held in my hand while sitting on a rock by the beach, facing the sea.

I looked then at the ship moored on the shore of the river that leads to the ocean. The water around the boat looked a little murky to the bottom. The fisherman looked very focused on preparing everything before leaving for the ocean.

I also saw some locals sitting right in front of the boat, chatting casually while enjoying the beach atmosphere.

The sea water was as enchanting as a painting, with beautiful colors and crashing waves. Right on top of the rock, I was sitting there at that moment.

Stones are arranged in the middle of the ocean, at first the visible stones seem to float, because on the left and right they only see water and the vast expanse of the sea without limits. The stones were made and arranged there in 2008, four years after the tsunami hit this city, in Aceh, the most remote province in the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.

The sea appeared serene, with tranquility concealed behind its soft waves. However, nearby a small pamphlet stood with the words: '' Hang out, don't litter. Animals allowed, no littering. ''

At first, I didn't really understand what the pamphlets on display meant. But after I noticed, it turns out that many local residents often throw garbage on the seafront. The pamphlet was put up as a reminder to everyone, especially visitors, to keep clean and not destroy the natural beauty.

Thank you, sea. From your calm waves to the wind caressing your face, you left an unforgettable impression. This short visit taught me a lot-about serenity, beauty, and the importance of protecting nature. I returned home with a calmer heart, carrying stories that I will always remember.
