RE: Introducing the funky tree of Benahavís and some life ponderings

My wife and kids are my vines. My parents and siblings are also intertwined. My friends are also part of this mix of what is me. Importantly though, the core of the vine is me and it's OK to make time for me, to appreciate me.

I don't think it is selfish at all. I think if we each take care of our core with the intent to better support the other branches and become more intertwined, the better we would all be. It is like the "many twigs are hard to break" - community should all be intertwined.

I don't mean inbred.

Also. James Brown is Funky.

Nice 👌

A mix of wisdom young and old.

Could you do me a favour actually, as I like your world view. Could you recommend five really good books.

I like wisdom, autobiography, humour, spiritualism, classics, philosophy, that type of thing.

Whenever I go on holiday (like now) I read loads and remember how good it is!

I listen to things now and have just started getting back into it after coming to terms with my brain a bit more.

However, lately I have been listening to the "unfuck yourself" series by Gary John Bishop. It is good to listen to also, because of the Scottish accent. And while it is in the "self help" domain in many ways, I think it ticks off a few of your boxes in terms of humour and philosophy. It is also some pretty decent stuff, and has a huge amount to reflect upon. The parenting one was really interesting.

Nice one man. Will check this guy out and let ye know what I think. I love listening to stuff when I'm driving between Galway and Dublin as I often do for work.
