Forever Bound

image.png

The deeper you go, the more you'll see,
Though the dark enfolds and holds you tight.
You try to slow, too fast the stream,
Loosened the grip you disappear from sight.

Who you were, you'll never be again,
And the beliefs you held have frayed.
Who you'll be, free or constrained,
Is the choice you'll make today.

In that void, all possibility must wait,
With nothing yet created to tether.
All that will be, is not from clean slate,
Weight of gold and fragility of feather.

Toward those depths, fear said don't tread,
Too close to the edge of a forgotten thought.
The nearer you get, the narrower the spread,
And memory serves what was once taught.

You are the darkness, you are the light,
Despite your willingness to be free.
You are bound by day, and prisoner of night,
I look like you, and you look just like me.

The deeper you go, the more you'll see really tells a lot especially the experience about life and the stages we get which will be well known when we find ourselves in such situation.

The gold and feathers line really got to me. Sometimes you gotta lose yourself to find who you're supposed to be, you know.

The duality we all carry. We're all struggling with the same contradictions between freedom and constraint.

That's why I always tries to keep good thought's and memories in my heart, irrespective of how disliking were some routines that comes my way in any daily activities.

I shift bad energy's away, and embrace happiness all the times.

Truth be told, good memories alone are worth keeping, it bright our heart and make us ever young and grow.

The duality of light and darkness are like our experiences in life.

Dear @tarazkp !

Are memories of your past tormenting you now? Or are you overcoming your present pain with hope for the future?😳

As one journeys into one's own depths, one can immediately see one's freedoms and captivity.

Hmm, this is deep and reflective. It feels like a journey through inner struggles and transformation. I like how you show that we’re always changing and that even in darkness, there’s a chance to choose who we become. The last lines got me thinking about how we are all connected, even in our battles.

What a profound inner journey, where darkness isn’t an enemy but a gateway and light isn’t salvation but a mirror.

That last stanza is really good and makes me think.. to be the light AND the darkness. Bound.. yes. 👊😎

The tension between freedom and constraint is inherent to the whole existence. Dont be surprised by the fact that individuals are condemned to be free, responsible for creating meaning in a seemingly indifferent universe.

The best part part of the poem is that choices are not made on a “clean slate” but are shaped by the “weight of gold and fragility of feather-- Underscores accumulated baggage of memory, history, and existential fragility.

The interplay of light and darkness, where “you are the darkness, you are the light,”-- a dialectical view. It posits that the self is not singular but a synthesis of opposites, bound yet yearning for liberation.

If we are both the darkness and the light, as the poem claims, then perhaps the most radical choice is not to resolve this duality but to dwell in its tension, creating meaning not despite our constraints but through them.
