Vast Agricultural Landscape In The Huairou District

Beijing is a huge city, and the Municipal area is enormous, which is almost 1/10 of the whole of Bangladesh, where I belong. The Huairou district is the largest district of the Beijing Municipality and it is located in the northern region where the most of the lands is covered with mountains. So, there are many valleys that are used as agricultural lands. As, the winter is frozen here, and most of the part of the district is covered with snow, there are many fruit gardens in this area rather than the plain agricultural lands for crops, or other plants and vegetables.

It's hard to imagine that a city in the 21st century, especially a megacity like Beijing with all the latest amenities and skyscrapers, would also have a great farming culture. I can't even imagine how much wild land and farmland there is in Dhaka, the biggest city in my home country. Beijing, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. But Beijing has a lot of open lands outside of its central area, and there is a huge amount of forest and agricultural land there.

When I visit in the northern section of the city I found thousands of acres of fruits garden and a good portion is also with agricultural lands which is less compared to the fruits garden in this area. From what I've seen, most of the fruits in the yard are apples, pears, oranges, grapes, and a few others I can't name right now.

I found that corn and wheat were the most common crops. In some places, I also saw a lot of other veggie crops and winter crops that do well in this part of the world. But it's amazing that such a big city without any rivers is so green. It's hard to grow trees here, and I learnt that they have a great irrigation system for their green forest lands, and the government puts a lot of work into these areas. I can't imagine what they do for clean water in Dhaka City for the people, but they do it for their trees.

As it is the the time of the after-winter season, the time for harvesting different crops and so I saw the lands are prepared in some part and some areas are having crops that has been planted already. The vast land is so fertile in this area as I have seen the tenderness of these plants which is so abundant in this area.

I hope you like my photos of the beautiful natural scenic views in the agricultural area of the Huairou city I have visited in the last weekend at this summer time of the this year. The weather was so comfortable and the excellent air quality with colder temperature due to cloudy sky was also enjoyable, making it a great time to explore nature as my outdoor activity. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them as much as I can afford.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.

Wishing you a good day!

I took all the photos, and these are my own property.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
China's water shortage is very serious now!
China spends huge manpower and money to provide life and agricultural water!

Many East Asians believe that the continent of India is more water and fertile than the Chinese continent, so the food is more food.
So, Many East Asians believe that the possibility of development of the Indian continent is infinite!

Many East Asians visit the Indian continent to find the value to invest.
