The Cutest Snake-Face I Have Ever Seen!
Greetings, my dear hive fellows!
The Chinese New Year is coming, and I am happy to welcome the Chinese New Year every year with the season of holidays, and this year is no different. The Year of the Snake is here. In Chinese society, there is an animal from the zodiac that stands for each lunar new year. People think that this year's snake will be sweet and bring them wealth for the whole year. I went to the Huairou city center today, where I saw the cutest snake face I've ever seen. No, it is not scary at all. Its soft, happy shape makes it look friendly and nice. This snake message seems to say, "This year will be good, so forget the worries of the previous year."
In Huairou, the nightlife is different in different places. At this time, the city center is the most lively spot. Beautiful lights are all over the streets, no matter where you look. There are bright lights all around the trees next to the roads, and the lights even go around the trunks of the trees. The red lights, which are the dominant colors in decorating the Chinese culture, are really so eye-catching everywhere. You can also hang lights and some kind of lanterns with different colors from the trees to add more color and make the whole scene look lively. Each lamp is in a different shape and bright in color, like red, yellow, or gold. When I walked through the city center not long ago, I felt like I was in a different world.
People hang lanterns outside their homes to decorate the entrance and also in my institutes also. Even though the roads aren't as bright as the city center in my living area, the mood is still happy for the new year. People enjoyed walking around and looking at the decorations on the streets during this period. You can enjoy the season's beauty here, not just without the natural beauty but with the abundance of artificial decorations.
I came to know from my friend @goldgrifin007 that there is a story behind every decoration you see. The lights are a sign of hope and light for the coming year. The lights stand for direction and a way to good luck. This year, the snake designs make me think of the snake's wise, charming, and wealthy traits. I love how these animals' beauty is used in Chinese society to bring good luck into the new year.
One thing I love about this period is how everyone goes back to their family origin and enjoys their desired holidays every year. My institute is already empty as they have gone to their home. This time, people forget their problems and focus on having fun with each other. What I experienced during covid time when I celebrated the New Year with my colleagues. People who own stores even put up lights and red signs to decorate their stores to welcome customers and wish them a happy new year.
I love how hard people work to make the city look nice and how happy everyone looks when they enjoy their holidays during this period. Together, the snake faces, the bright lights, and the hanging lanterns make it feel like I am living in a great place with beautiful surroundings. It feels like the whole city is living and taking part in the New Year party.
I am hopeful that the Year of the Snake will bring prosperity for all. The snake is a sign of wealth and knowledge, and I think that this year will be good for everyone. Wishing everyone a wonderful Year of the Snake!
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wish you a great day!

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
Do you know the origin of the Year of the Snake?😄
The Chinese believe that the sexagenary cycle can reveal the secrets of the universe.
I wonder how Bangladeshis celebrate New Year!
No I have no knowledge about it. We have our own new year celebration in Bangladesh. You can search 'Bengali New Year in Bangladesh' or 'Pohela Baishakh in Bangladesh' on youtube to know about it. Thanks for your comment.
