Renting Strategy For The Modern Format!

Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.

I hope every one of you is having a great time in the Splinterlands. The Splinterlands is getting more excitement now as the new card edition, Conclave Arcana, a new set of core cards, is released, and players are enjoying the new strategy, and new excitement is at its fullest in the sphere. I am also excited about these new cards and learning new strategies every day. As my participation Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, I am going to talk about my current strategy of renting summoners for playing the modern format that I am currently using for my gameplay without having so many new cards. I hope it will help you select or consider your strategy to play the modern format properly.

After more than a week of pause I have started playing the Splinterlands as I was quite busy for the last two weeks for different tasks and I could not manage to play the game. As a result I have collected very lower number of glint tokens and so I am going to grab more in this current session. As I don't have enough high level modern summoner, I have rented some summoners to play the modern format. I think it is a greater strategy to play modern format without buying the wild format pass in my opinion. So, it is very important to play it regularly for the following reason to make the strategy more beneficial -

• It helps the player to learn about new combos using the new cards to build up stronger decks according to cards performances.

• The extra SPS reward helps to grow the staked SPS that is very important to grab higher rewards at higher ratings both in the Modern format.

• Another rewards like the higher glints are so useful to buy the reward cards which can make your decks more stronger.

• Rewards are more in the modern format, so it will be more rewarding than the wild format at the similar cost.

• The knowledge gaining on the modern cards will help you to play with more domination in the coming days when there will be more new editions of the coming card sets.

So, for playing the modern format I have rented three summoners from the rebellion cards set which are from three splinter teams including the Dragon, Death and my favorite earth team. I have rented them with gold foiled cards as they will add another extra rewards with every win. I have rented one dragon that is legendary card with level 1. Besides, the other two RARE summoners are at level 4 and level 6 which will support me more strongly to rank up higher in the rating to go upper league.

Most importantly the renting cost is also very convincing at these levels of cards as they are almost similar or slightly higher than the normal foil cards. So, I have chosen the gold foiled when I got them with similar price range.

Renting cost analysis
It is very important to do your calculation before spending the money into the game and I have also spent the DEC with the return in the SPS rewards and with other associated rewards. I have rented the three cards with different price level with different cards with the maximum price of around 85 DEC per day and minimum with 15 DEC per day. The total cost per day for three summoners, including two gold foiled, is 136.55 DEC per day.

As, this is a seasonal renting system, if The total cost for 1500 DEC that I need for the rest of the season is $1.363 which is equal to around 200 SP which is the minimum SPS that I need to collect from the battles. And for the 11 days I will get total 264 battles with additional battle around 50 that makes more than 300 battles to fight. From where it would be easier to win 200 SPS to get the other associated cards and rewards.

Though it is not a sustainable strategy for the long run but I will buy new summoners one by one that will make me playing paying any rental fees in the coming days. Currently, I think the market prices are higher for the new cards and my Hive accumulation is not worthy of selling at this lower price. I will buy them at later with higher gains altogether.
