Exporing Breathtaking Natural Beauty In The Shentangyu Scenic Area

During my May holidays, I visited one of the natural gems of the Huairou district, the Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area, which is among the top three tourist attractions in the Huairou district. It was a beautiful day at Shentangyu Natural Scenic Spot with nature, a pure and deep nature. The location of the spot is not so far from my dormitory, so I chose to go to Shentangyu Natural Scenic Spot in the afternoon, not in the morning, to explore the afternoon beauty. I had heard about the amazing beauty of this place from some of my colleagues, and it is really a gem for the Huairou district. Its location is also in the mountains and in this spring season, everything there becomes terribly green than any other season.

After crossing the city area, the mountains started appearing on both sides of the road. It looks like a green wonderland at first glance on both side of the road. It was not so far, so after a while I got to the beautiful area and it was like I was in a picture of green nature. There were so many people as it was a holiday, and I have observed that Chinese people spend their holidays with their whole family, and it is a common scene here that grandparents are so busy taking care of their grandchildren in these tourist spots. It was quite peaceful as it is located very far from the busy city area, the sound of birds and other insects can be heard clearly in this area.

Mainly, the place is long mountain valley that has a water stream that comes from some distance mountains which can be considered a river and the riverbank is constructed for the trailing routes and there are several mountains and low lands on the way and also there are some mountain cave, some mountain villages and many more on the area that can not be explored in a single day. Many people choose different locations along the river, and there is full access by a nearby main road, which makes travel quite flexible here. In the distance, there were big, green mountains with peaks that were sometimes brighter with the sunlight.

The valley is full of rocks here and there on the river banks, also, some rocks are quite big, and most of them are smaller in size. Most of them are broken from the nearby mountains as these mountains are made of mountains. The formation of these mountain rocks can be seen very closely on trail, which is made of some wooden stairs most of the points while they are on the mountainside and the grounded parts are made of concrete.

The mountain stream was my favorite part of Shentangyu. I was filled with joy when I followed the sound of the water. It was even better than I thought it would be at this time as there was rain recently that made more water in the stream. Small streams and peaceful ponds formed when the water moved over smooth stones, making them sparkle like liquid crystal. The stream wasn't very deep, so it was easy for people to splash around in it.

This was the best spot for kids activities. They laughed as they moved through the shallow water with buckets and small nets in hand, trying to catch small fish. The parents either took pictures or sat on some rocks nearby and dipped their feet in the cool water. I didn't dive my foot there because I had to took off my shoes.

I noticed the rough bottom of the stream. Years of water running over each rock made it smooth. They were as small as rocks and as big as cars. They looked like they belonged in their green surroundings because ferns and moss covered them, especilly which were far in the unreachable section where people usually avoid as that can be slippery and dangerous. Everything looked very still for a moment there in such a scenic spot.

As I went deeper side of the area I could see even more stunning views. Besides the greenish and dark line of the stream, there was nothing between me and the sea of green in the valley below. The falling afternoon was the time for people to gather their stuffs to leave the place as many of them are here from very long distance. There is no issues with security and many toilets can be found there with many restaurants in this area. In a single word the valley looked so beautiful because spring had dressed it up at this time of the year.
