Why are there a orange tick mark on so many user names here? I have seen this on X, Instagram, and few other social apps. I want to know if it has any significance.

That is a premium subscription feature here, you can see that on the option list at the left side. All the benefits are mentioned there.

It's the best 10 $HBD you can possibly spend. So many features but the big reason, it feeds the SIRP (the rewards pool that hands out curation and creation rewards)

Is that because I agreed with you about the long threads being a good thing? When I was writing my first thread I saw the limit was reached, that is why I said that long threads are a good thing.

It denotes a user who has paid for a premium subscription.

It is significant in that the user gets some benefits (as well as any future add-on benefits during the term of their subscription):

For example, I was able to make this long response thread because I am premium!

All of the premium subscription revenues buy $LEO which is redistributed within the system.
