[ENG/ESP] The flowering of the Araguaney, a spectacle of yellow rebirth.
Greetings to all. I wish you a productive start of the week, full of very good energy. I hope mine will be just as excellent, I have only proposed it to myself and I will work with enthusiasm to achieve it.
Today I want to share with you a very special and significant event for me, the third flowering of my Araguaney tree. It is an event that fills me with joy and amazement every time it happens, because it marks the resilience and beauty of nature in the midst of adversity.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un acontecimiento muy especial y significativo para mí, la tercera floración de mi árbol de Araguaney. Es un evento que me llena de alegría y asombro cada vez que sucede, porque marca la resiliencia y belleza de la naturaleza en medio de las adversidades.
In other of my publications I have commented on how, when the rains begin, the mountains of the east of the country are dyed yellow with the spectacular flowering of the Araguaney. It is a fascinating spectacle that usually occurs in April or May. However, this year has been different. The drought has been intense and has delayed this phenomenon, causing that so far we have not been able to see the majestic transformation of the landscapes.
The lack of rain led me to think that the Araguaney in the patio would not bloom this year. However, I decided not to give up and continued to take care of it with dedication. Every two days, I watered its roots a little, hoping that, despite the drought, it would find the strength to bloom.
When I observed that the tree began to lose all its leaves, I was deeply worried, they lose their eyes before flowering or when it gets sick. It filled me with uncertainty to see it lose its leaves, fearing that this time it would not be able to recover. Not only was I worried about its condition, but also that of my other plants, especially the fruiting ones, as the drought has been relentless. To help them, I placed some bird droppings near their roots, a nutrient that provides them with benefits and strengthens them.
En otras de mis publicaciones les he comentado cómo, cuando empiezan las lluvias, las montañas del oriente del país se tiñen de amarillo con la espectacular floración del Araguaney. Es un espectáculo fascinante que suele ocurrir en abril o mayo. Sin embargo, este año ha sido diferente. La sequía ha sido intensa y ha retrasado este fenómeno, haciendo que hasta el momento no hayamos podido ver la majestuosa transformación de los paisajes.
La falta de lluvias me llevó a pensar que el Araguaney del patio no florecería este año. Sin embargo, decidí no rendirme y continué cuidándolo con dedicación. Cada dos días, regaba un poco sus raíces, esperando que, pese a la sequía, pudiera encontrar la fuerza para florecer.
Al observar que el árbol comenzaba a perder todas sus hojas, me preocupé profundamente, ellos pierden sus ojos antes de la floración o cuando enferma. Me llenó de incertidumbre verlo perder sus hojas, temiendo que esta vez no lograría recuperarse. No solo me inquietaba su estado, sino también el de mis otras plantas, en especial las de frutos, pues la sequía ha sido implacable. Para ayudarlas, coloqué cerca de sus raíces un poco de acérrimo con excremento de ave, un nutriente que les brinda beneficios y las fortalece.
As the days passed, I began to notice something hopeful. Small buds began to form on the branches of the Araguaney. Despite the excitement I felt, I didn't want to get my hopes up too high. I looked at those little buds with some skepticism, not daring to trust completely that flowering would really happen.
Con el pasar de los días, empecé a notar algo esperanzador. Pequeños capullos comenzaron a formarse en las ramas del Araguaney. A pesar de la emoción que sentí, no quería ilusionarme demasiado. Miré aquellos pequeños brotes con algo de escepticismo, sin atreverme a confiar completamente en que la floración realmente sucedería.
But then, on the second day, I observed something wonderful; a faint yellow glow began to appear among the branches. It was an exciting moment because, in previous years, I had seen this same process of transformation. That sign confirmed to me that the tree was ready to bloom and that my patience and care had paid off.
Pero entonces, al segundo día, observé algo maravilloso; un tenue destello amarillo comenzó a aparecer entre las ramas. Fue un momento emocionante porque, en años anteriores, había visto ese mismo proceso de transformación. Esa señal me confirmó que el árbol estaba listo para florecer y que mi paciencia y cuidados habían valido la pena.
That night I went to bed with the certainty that at dawn I would witness the beauty of the Araguaney in all its splendor. I got up early with great enthusiasm and went to see it, but it was still a little while before its flowers were fully open. The wait only made the expectation greater.
Normally, the Araguaney blooms once a year and keeps its flowers open for only one day. Its entire process takes three days, and having one at home has given me the fortune of being able to observe each stage closely and enjoy it to the fullest.
This year, due to the drought, the flowering time was extended a bit longer. Instead of three days, the process took four almost five, until finally its buds fully opened. Despite the adverse weather conditions, the tree found its own way to bloom, and I had the joy of witnessing it once again.
Esa noche me acosté con la certeza de que al amanecer presenciaría la belleza del Araguaney en todo su esplendor. Me levanté temprano con gran entusiasmo y fui a verlo, pero aún le faltaba un poco para que sus flores estuvieran completamente abiertas. La espera solo hacía que la expectativa fuera mayor.
Normalmente, el Araguaney florece una vez al año y mantiene sus flores abiertas por tan solo un día. Su proceso completo dura tres días, y tener uno en casa me ha dado la fortuna de poder observar cada etapa con detenimiento y disfrutarlo plenamente.
Este año, debido a la sequía, el tiempo de floración se extendió un poco más. En lugar de tres días, el proceso tomó cuatro casi cinco, hasta que finalmente sus botones se abrieron por completo. A pesar de las condiciones climáticas adversas, el árbol encontró su propia manera de florecer, y yo tuve la dicha de presenciarlo una vez más.
I love nature and I never miss the flowering of the Araguaney in the courtyard. This is its third year and it continues to be a unique and magical event that I don't want to miss. It is very pleasant to see this spectacle, at any time of the day, even when I take a well-deserved rest in the hammock on the porch.
Amo la naturaleza y nunca me pierdo la floración del Araguaney del patio. Este es su tercer año y sigue siendo un acontecimiento único y mágico que no quiero dejar pasar. Es muy grato ver este espectáculo, a cualquier hora del día, hasta cuando me tomo un merecido descanso en la hamaca del portal.

Hermoso arbol de Araguaney, adoro esas flores amarillas, llenan de alegría cada espacio, eres muy cuidadosa con las plantas y los animales por eso logras que prosperen aun en condiciones adversas.

Your tree makes very beautiful flowers, after the drought. A reminder to us that everything has its own time and that all is temporary. In life also we would face problems and trials but it would end.
