[ENG/ESP] Landscapes and flavors of Isla Margarita.
It's the weekend and like many I will enjoy my well deserved rest, this week was very busy.
I hope you can have a great and restful weekend.
I will tell you how my weekend started. After doing some chores at home we went to the city as we needed to buy some products and, of course, I took the opportunity to appreciate the natural and urban landscape that we could find in our tour of the city.
We were very close to the Plaza Bolivar of Porlamar, pride of many of this town. This square has, in addition to its church, large trees that provide excellent shade right where the benches are where passersby and locals rest, enjoying the coming and going in this beautiful square.
Ya estamos de fin de semana y como muchos disfrutaré de mi merecido descanso, está semana fue de mucho trabajo.

Les contaré como comenzó mi fin de semana. Después de hacer algunas tareas en casa fuimos a la ciudad pues necesitábamos comprar unos productos y, por supuesto, aproveché para apreciar el paisaje natural y urbano que pudimos encontrar en nuestro recorrido por la ciudad.
Estuvimos muy cerca de la Plaza Bolívar de Porlamar, orgullo de muchos de esta localidad. Esta plaza tiene, además de su iglesia, grandes árboles que brindan una excelente sombra justo donde están los bancos donde los transeúntes y lugareños descansan, disfrutando del ir y venir en esta hermosa plaza.
After buying what we needed, we continued on our way to La Asunción, which, as some of you know, is the capital of the state of Nueva Esparta. We visited a very traditional bakery, that is to say, the products it sells are very traditional and that is what its specialty is all about. I could only take a picture at the entrance of the bakery, which is called San Juan Bosco and is located on Virgen del Carmen street, belonging to the Arismendi municipality of Nueva Esparta State on Margarita Island.
Después de comprar lo que necesitábamos, continuamos camino para dirigirnos a La Asunción, que, como algunos saben, es la capital del Estado Nueva Esparta. Visitamos una panadería muy tradicional, es decir, que los productos que vende son muy tradicionales y de eso se trata su especialidad. Solo pude tomar una foto a la entrada de la panadería, que tiene por nombre San Juan Bosco y se encuentra ubicada en la calle Virgen del Carmen, perteneciente al municipio Arismendi del Estado Nueva Esparta en Isla Margarita.
As I said before, I could only take a picture at the entrance because there were people in the bakery who did not want to be photographed. Inside, I bought to try something that was suggested to me: a pan de leche and coscorrón.
Como antes les decía, solo pude tomar una foto a la entrada porque había personas en la panadería que no querían ser fotografiadas. En su interior, compré para probar algo que me sugirieron: un pan de leche y el coscorrón.
The one I liked was the coscorrón. I don't know its ingredients well, but I was told that it contains papelón, cornstarch, egg, butter and aniseed. The truth is that soon I will try to find the recipe and make it because I liked it a lot.
El que me gustó fue el coscorrón. No sé bien sus ingredientes, pero me dijeron que contiene papelón, fécula de maíz, huevo, mantequilla y anís. La verdad es que pronto intentaré buscar la receta y hacerla porque me gustó mucho.
I only bought three, just to try it, and it turned out to be very pleasant to the palate. I tried it as it was served at the bakery, with coffee with milk, and I really recommend it. This recipe from the Venezuelan culture is very delicious.
Solo compré tres, para probar, y resultó ser muy agradable para el paladar. Lo probé tal cual como me sirvieron en la panadería, con café con leche, y la verdad es que lo recomiendo. Esta receta de la cultura venezolana es muy deliciosa.
