A new week has begun, bringing with it new challenges, new opportunities, and, of course, new experiences that enrich us every day. I wish you all a wonderful week, filled with positive energy, personal achievements, and moments worth remembering.
Here on Margarita Island, the heat continues to be intense, as is usual at this time of year. However, that doesn't stop me. You just have to take the appropriate measures to cope with it: stay well hydrated, wear appropriate clothing, and use plenty of sunscreen. Despite the high temperatures, the landscapes are still truly beautiful. This morning, on my way to the Sunsol Ecoland hotel, I was able to enjoy the spectacular views that the municipality of Gómez had to offer.
Ya comenzó una nueva semana y con ella llegan nuevos retos, nuevas oportunidades y, por supuesto, nuevas experiencias que nos enriquecen cada día. Les deseo a todos una hermosa semana, llena de buenas energías, logros personales y momentos que valgan la pena recordar.
Acá en Isla Margarita el calor continúa siendo muy intenso, como es habitual en esta época del año. Sin embargo, eso no me detiene. Solo hay que tomar las medidas apropiadas para sobrellevarlo; mantenerse bien hidratado, usar ropa adecuada, y mucho protector solar. A pesar de las altas temperaturas, los paisajes siguen siendo verdaderamente hermosos. Esta mañana, mientras me dirigía al hotel Sunsol Ecoland, pude disfrutar de vistas espectaculares que el municipio Gómez tenía para ofrecerme.
I arrived earlier than expected, so I had to wait a while to be greeted by the quality control staff. As the hotel is operating at high capacity, it is essential to maintain all levels under control to ensure the quality service that characterizes this facility. The organization and commitment of the team are admirable, and this is reflected in every detail. I like it when work flows smoothly and is accomplished with great harmony.
Llegué más temprano de lo adecuado, así que tuve que esperar un poco para ser recibida por el personal de control de calidad. Como el hotel está operando con alta capacidad, es fundamental mantener todos los niveles controlados para garantizar el servicio de calidad que caracteriza a esta instalación. La organización y el compromiso del equipo son admirables, y eso se refleja en cada detalle, me gusta cuando el trabajo fluye y se logra hacer con gran armonía.
My husband and Clarel were in charge of filling the main tank, as I have a slight allergy and handling the hypochlorite could have been harmful to my health. While they were busy with that task, I went to check other filters in the hotel, which allowed me to walk around the facility and observe the recent progress that has been made. Every time I visit this place, I am surprised by a new initiative designed to improve the guest experience.
Last week, they were setting up an area to rent electric motorcycles, an excellent idea to facilitate movement within the facility, as the distances are quite long. In addition, guests can leave the complex with the motorcycles, although under other types of controls to ensure safety.
Mi esposo y Clarel fueron los encargados de subir al tanque principal, ya que yo tenía un poco de alergia y manipular el hipoclorito podría haber sido perjudicial para mi salud. Mientras ellos se ocupaban de esa tarea, yo me dirigí a revisar otros filtros en el hotel, lo que me permitió caminar por la instalación y observar los avances que se han hecho recientemente. Cada vez que visito este lugar, me sorprende con una nueva iniciativa pensada para mejorar la experiencia de sus huéspedes.
La semana pasada estaban habilitando un área para alquilar motos eléctricas, una excelente idea para facilitar el desplazamiento dentro de la instalación, ya que las distancias son bastante largas. Además, los huéspedes pueden salir del complejo con las motos, aunque bajo otro tipo de controles para garantizar la seguridad.
This week, I noticed that the workers are making impressive progress: they have almost finished a new paddle tennis court, a sport that is very popular in this area and will surely be well received by visitors.
Esta semana, me di cuenta de que los trabajadores avanzan a un ritmo impresionante: ya casi tienen lista una nueva cancha de pádel, un deporte que está muy de moda por estos lados y que seguramente será bien recibido por los visitantes.
One of the most distinctive features of this hotel is that there is a beautifully maintained image of the Virgin Mary near the reception desk. This detail is loved by both tourists and staff alike, and it brings a sense of peace and spirituality to the atmosphere.
Algo muy característico de este hotel es que, cerca de la recepción, tienen una imagen de la Virgen muy bien cuidada. Es un detalle que encanta tanto a los turistas como a los trabajadores, y que aporta una sensación de paz y espiritualidad al ambiente.
Walking around the facility allowed me to take some photos that capture the essence of the place. That concluded my part of the job, while my husband and Clarel finished checking the main tank. Once all the tasks were completed, we met at a designated spot inside the hotel to leave, satisfied that we had accomplished what we had planned at Ecoland.
Caminar por la instalación me permitió tomar algunas fotos que capturan la esencia del lugar. Así concluí mi parte del trabajo, mientras mi esposo y Clarel finalizaban la revisión del tanque principal. Al terminar todas las tareas, nos reunimos en un punto dentro del hotel para retirarnos con la satisfacción de haber cumplido con lo planificado en Ecoland.
As the sun was really strong, we decided to add a little sugar to our hydration. We stopped at the “Bodegón Consumar,” located on El Fortín Highway, Gómez municipality, Pedro González sector, in Nueva Esparta state. The idea was to enjoy a cold peach juice, which is simply delicious and perfect for replenishing energy.
Como el sol estaba realmente fuerte, decidimos incorporar un poco de azúcar a nuestra hidratación. Nos detuvimos en el “Bodegón Consumar”, ubicado en la carretera El Fortín, municipio Gómez, sector Pedro González, en el estado Nueva Esparta. La idea era disfrutar de un jugo de melocotón bien frío, que es simplemente delicioso y perfecto para reponer energías.
After that refreshing break, we continued our journey until we reached the farm supply store where we are regular customers. There we bought a bag of feed and corn, since with the new offspring at home, consumption has increased considerably, and if you have offspring, you have to take care of them.
Después de esa refrescante pausa, continuamos nuestro recorrido hasta llegar a la agropecuaria donde somos clientes habituales. Allí compramos un saco de alimento y maíz, ya que con las nuevas crías en casa, el consumo ha aumentado considerablemente y si tienes crías hay que cuidarlas.
With all of the day's tasks completed, we returned home to rest. This week will be filled with intense tours throughout the Sunsol chain, which is preparing to welcome more tourists. I am sure it will be a productive week full of learning.

Excelente inicio de semana amiga Tania. Me encantó cómo relataste todo el recorrido y el ambiente del hotel. Qué bueno que pudieron organizar bien el trabajo y que cada visita te permite ver mejoras en el lugar. Con ese ritmo, seguro tendrán todo listo para los turistas.
