[ENG/ESP] Another day of work at the Sunsol hotel chain.
I left for work very early, as everything had been perfectly coordinated for us to visit one of the largest hotels in the Sunsol chain, specifically the Ecoland hotel. Due to the high season lasting longer than usual, they are currently experiencing a large influx of tourists, which makes this hotel a priority on our weekly agenda. For this reason, it was decided that it would be the first one we would service this week.
The first thing we did when we left home was to stop by Luis's house. For safety and comfort reasons, we preferred that he not ride his motorcycle, especially considering the distance and the type of work we were going to do. So we picked him up to go together in the company vehicle, which also allowed us to talk and plan everything better.
Muy temprano salí a trabajar, ya que todo estaba perfectamente coordinado para visitar uno de los hoteles con mayor capacidad de la cadena Sunsol, específicamente el hotel Ecoland. Debido a que la temporada alta se ha extendido más de lo habitual, actualmente cuentan con una gran afluencia de turistas, lo cual hace que este hotel sea prioritario en nuestra agenda semanal. Por esa razón, se decidió que sería el primero al que le realizaríamos el servicio esta semana.
Lo primero que hicimos al salir de casa fue pasar por la vivienda de Luis. Por motivos de seguridad y comodidad, preferimos que no se trasladara en su moto, especialmente considerando la distancia y el tipo de trabajo que íbamos a realizar. Así que lo recogimos para ir todos juntos en el vehículo de la empresa, lo cual también nos permite conversar y planificar todo mejor.
The weather couldn't have been better. The sky was clear, with an intense blue that contrasted beautifully with the white clouds drifting slowly by. We took Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, one of our favorite routes, not only because it's direct, but also because it allows us to enjoy the beautiful rocky hills that line the coast. It's a journey that always fills me with energy. I love how the green of the hills blends with the blue of the sky and how the whole landscape looks like it has been hand-painted. It is a natural spectacle that makes you forget any negative thoughts and connects you with the essential.
El clima no podía estar mejor. El cielo estaba despejado, con un azul intenso que contrastaba maravillosamente con las nubes blancas que se deslizaban lentamente. Tomamos la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, una de nuestras rutas favoritas, no solo por ser directa, sino porque nos permite disfrutar de los hermosos cerros rocosos que bordean el litoral. Es un trayecto que siempre me llena de energía. Me encanta cómo el verdor de los cerros se mezcla con el azul del cielo y cómo todo el paisaje parece pintado a mano. Es un espectáculo natural que te hace olvidar cualquier pensamiento negativo y te conecta con lo esencial.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by our dear friend Carel from the quality department. As always, she greeted us with her characteristic smile, one that conveys warmth and confidence and makes you feel at home, surrounded by family. It is a pleasure to work with people like this, who make everything flow with great harmony and respect.
We immediately went up to the main tank, as the work dynamic has changed a bit this week. One of the new guidelines is that all external personnel must leave the premises before 2:00 p.m. in order to avoid crowds and allow everyone to return to their destinations safely, without setbacks, and above all, securely. Therefore, we began checking and measuring water levels as soon as we arrived. Everything was within the appropriate parameters, which allowed us to complete the work without any problems.
Al llegar al hotel, fuimos recibidos por nuestra querida amiga Carel, del departamento de calidad. Como siempre, nos saludó con su característica sonrisa, esa que transmite calidez y confianza, y que te hace sentir como si estuvieras en casa, rodeado de familia. Es un gusto trabajar con personas así, que hacen que todo fluya con gran armonía y respeto.
Subimos de inmediato al tanque principal, ya que esta semana la dinámica de trabajo ha cambiado un poco. Uno de los nuevos lineamientos es que todo el personal externo debe retirarse de las instalaciones antes de las 2:00 p.m., con el fin de evitar aglomeraciones y permitir que todos puedan regresar a sus destinos con tranquilidad, sin contratiempos y sobre todo con seguridad. Por eso, comenzamos con el chequeo y la medición de los niveles de agua apenas llegamos. Todo estaba dentro de los parámetros adecuados, lo que nos permitió culminar el trabajo sin inconvenientes.
After getting out of the tank, we decided to take a quick tour of the facilities before heading to the administrative office to hand in the invoices. I took the opportunity to take several photographs, as the place is truly beautiful. I love it because it has spaces designed for all tastes and ages: green areas, swimming pools, rest areas, recreational activities, and quiet corners for those looking to relax. The essence of the hotel is to make you feel like family, and they achieve this in such a natural and spontaneous way that even we, the contractors, feel part of that welcoming atmosphere.
Al bajar del tanque, decidimos dar un pequeño recorrido por las instalaciones antes de dirigirnos a la oficina administrativa para entregar las facturas. Aproveché para tomar varias fotografías, ya que el lugar es realmente hermoso. Me encanta porque tiene espacios pensados para todos los gustos y edades; áreas verdes, piscinas, zonas de descanso, actividades recreativas y rincones tranquilos para quienes buscan relajarse. La esencia del hotel es hacerte sentir como en familia, y lo logran de una manera tan natural y espontánea que incluso nosotros, los contratistas, nos sentimos parte de ese ambiente acogedor.
After handing over the invoices and saying our goodbyes, we set off on our return journey. This time we decided to take the Portachuelo road, a route that always offers us different views, with hills of varying shapes and colors that seem to change with the light of day. It is a road that invites contemplation.
Después de entregar las facturas y despedirnos cordialmente, emprendimos el regreso. Esta vez decidimos tomar la vía de Portachuelo, una ruta que siempre nos regala panoramas distintos, con cerros de formas y colores variados que parecen cambiar con la luz del día. Es un camino que invita a la contemplación.
We dropped Luis off at his house and then continued on to ours, satisfied with a productive and enjoyable day. That was my work trip for today. Tomorrow, another hotel in the chain awaits us, and as always, I will be sharing each experience with you in a new post.
