[ENG/ESP] A short work trip with beautiful scenery.

Here on Margarita Island, the weather is a little crazy, as if it wants to surprise us at every turn. Sometimes the sky is covered with gray clouds that seem to herald rain, and other times, suddenly, a radiant sun breaks through and illuminates everything with its golden glow. Best of all, the temperature remains cool, with air that gently caresses the skin and reminds us that, although the heat is usually intense on this island, today it is not as stifling as other times. It is a climate that invites you to walk, contemplate the landscape, and be grateful for the natural beauty that surrounds us.
My husband and I left home early to fulfill our work routine at the Sunsol Ecoland hotel. For some time now, we have been monitoring the hotel's desalination system and water supply tanks, a task that we used to do once a week but now do three times a week. Although the distance we have to travel is long, the journey is made more bearable by the scenery.
Amidst the scenery and pleasant conversation, we arrive at the hotel. We are always greeted with warmth and respect, which makes our work feel easier. Without wasting any time, we head to the plant and then climb up to the tank to carry out the necessary checks.

Acá en Isla Margarita el clima anda un poco loco, como si quisiera sorprendernos a cada momento. En ocasiones el cielo se cubre de nubes grises que parecen anunciar lluvia, y en otras, de repente, se abre paso un sol radiante que ilumina todo con su brillo dorado. Lo mejor de todo es que la temperatura se mantiene fresca, con un aire que acaricia suavemente la piel y nos recuerda que, aunque el calor suele ser fuerte en esta isla, hoy no sofoca como otras veces. Es un clima que invita a caminar, a contemplar el paisaje y a agradecer por la belleza natural que nos rodea.
Salimos temprano de casa, mi esposo y yo, para cumplir con nuestra rutina de trabajo en el hotel Sunsol Ecoland. Desde hace un tiempo estamos pendientes del sistema de desalinización y de los tanques de abastecimiento de agua del hotel, una labor que antes realizamos una vez por semana, pero que ahora se ha convertido en tres visitas semanales. Aunque la distancia que debemos recorrer es larga, el trayecto se hace más llevadero gracias a sus paisajes.
Entre paisajes y una conversación amena, llegamos al hotel. Siempre nos reciben con cordialidad y respeto, lo que hace que nuestro trabajo se sienta más ligero. Sin perder tiempo, nos dirigimos a la planta y luego subimos al tanque para realizar el chequeo correspondiente.
It is a process that requires attention and care, as the well-being of guests and staff depends on water quality. To our delight, the parameters were within normal ranges, which filled us with satisfaction. That feeling of having fulfilled our responsibility and knowing that everything is going well is a gift that motivates us to keep going.
Es un proceso que requiere atención y cuidado, pues de la calidad del agua depende el bienestar de los huéspedes y del personal. Para nuestra alegría, los parámetros se encontraban dentro de los rangos normales, lo que nos llenó de satisfacción. Esa sensación de haber cumplido con la responsabilidad y de saber que todo marcha bien es un regalo que nos motiva a seguir adelante.
After finishing our work, we decided to take a different route home. This time, we passed through the town of Santa Ana, a place steeped in history and tradition. Passing through allowed us to observe its quiet streets, its brightly painted houses, and the daily life of its inhabitants. It was a simple journey, but one filled with beautiful moments that will remain in our memories. Every outing, even if it is routine, becomes an opportunity to discover something new and appreciate what we have.
Después de terminar nuestras labores, decidimos regresar a casa tomando una ruta diferente. En esta ocasión atravesamos la localidad de Santa Ana, un lugar lleno de historia y tradición. Pasar por allí nos permitió observar sus calles tranquilas, sus casas pintadas con colores vivos y la vida cotidiana de sus habitantes. Fue un recorrido sencillo, pero cargado de momentos hermosos que se suman a nuestra memoria. Cada salida, aunque sea rutinaria, se convierte en una oportunidad para descubrir algo nuevo y valorar lo que tenemos.
The day passed peacefully, and when we got home, we felt that mixture of tiredness and gratitude that accompanies those who have worked responsibly. The paths are not always easy, but when you travel them in good company and with a willing heart, even the most technical tasks become enriching experiences.
Thus concludes our day, marked by commitment, the beauty of the surroundings, and the joy of sharing every step of the way as a couple.

El día transcurrió con serenidad, y al llegar a casa sentimos esa mezcla de cansancio y gratitud que acompaña a quienes han trabajado con responsabilidad. No siempre los caminos son fáciles, pero cuando se recorren con buena compañía y con el corazón dispuesto, hasta las tareas más técnicas se transforman en experiencias enriquecedoras.
