Hello, I wish you all a great day. This past Monday, I woke up feeling very energetic. The truth is that spending time with family and doing what you love recharges your batteries, and that's how I started my week: with a happy heart and a clear mind. There's nothing like being full of motivation to face a new week.
The weather couldn't have been better. The sun was shining brightly, but not overwhelmingly, and the sky was so intensely blue and clear that I felt excited just looking at it. I couldn't resist taking some photos to share the splendor of this beautiful day with you.
As the 24th approaches, the streets are getting busier and busier. You can feel the arrival of the seasonal visitors, who, with their hustle and bustle, their suitcases, and their hurried pace, are filling the island with movement. It's a special time of year, when everything changes, the shops fill up, and you can feel the joy in every corner. Although the traffic gets a little heavier, it's also nice to see how the island comes alive with so many people coming to enjoy its charms.

Este lunes que pasó, me levanté con muy buenas energías, la verdad que pasar tiempo con la familia y hacer lo que a uno le gusta recarga al máximo, y así fue como comencé mi semana; con el corazón contento y la mente muy despejada. Nada como llenarse de motivación para enfrentar una nueva semana.
El clima no podía estar mejor. El sol brillaba con fuerza, pero sin agobiar, y el cielo tenía un azul tan intenso y limpio que me sentí emocionada con solo mirarlo. No pude resistirme y tomé algunas fotos para compartir con ustedes el esplendor de este lindo día.
Como ya se acerca el veinticuatro, las calles están cada vez más concurridas. Se nota la llegada de los temporadistas, que con su ajetreo, sus maletas y su andar apresurado, van llenando de movimiento la Isla. Es una época especial, donde todo se transforma, los comercios se llenan, la alegría se siente en cada rincón. Aunque el tráfico se vuelve un poco más pesado, también es bonito ver cómo la Isla cobra vida con tantas personas que vienen a disfrutar de sus encantos.
I had to do my work routine and also look for fiberglass and tin for a project we had pending, so I left early for the city. I like to take advantage of the mornings, when the sun is just beginning to warm up and the air is still cool. Our first stop was at Sunsol Unik, where we measured the water parameters. Fortunately, everything was at the appropriate level, which is always a relief. We then proceeded to backwash the filters, a task that may seem routine but is essential for the proper functioning of the system.
Tenía que realizar mi rutina de trabajo y, además, buscar una fibra de vidrio y estaño para un proyecto que teníamos pendiente, así que salí desde temprano rumbo a la ciudad. Me gusta aprovechar las mañanas, cuando el sol apenas empieza a calentar y el aire aún es fresco. Nuestra primera parada fue en Sunsol Unik, donde realizamos la medición de los parámetros del agua. Afortunadamente, todo estaba en el nivel apropiado, lo cual siempre es un alivio. Luego procedimos a realizar los retrolavados de los filtros, una tarea que aunque puede parecer rutinaria, es fundamental para el buen funcionamiento del sistema.
With our routine completed and satisfied with the results, we left to continue with our errands. We went to several places in the city looking for fiberglass. It wasn't easy, but we finally found it in one of the stores near Conferry. We felt very relieved to have that material in our hands, as it meant we could move forward with repairing the Sunsol Isla Caribe filter. The goal is to install it before the end of the week, so every minute counts.
Con nuestra rutina cumplida y satisfechos por los resultados, nos marchamos a continuar con las diligencias. Fuimos a varios puntos en la ciudad buscando la fibra de vidrio. No fue fácil, pero finalmente la encontramos en uno de los locales cerca de Conferry. Sentimos una gran tranquilidad al tener ese material en nuestras manos, ya que con eso podíamos avanzar en la reparación del filtro de Sunsol Isla Caribe. La meta es instalarlo antes de que culmine la semana, así que cada minuto cuenta.
All we needed now was to get the tin. Fortunately, at the same place where we bought the fiberglass, they recommended we visit “Electrónica.com.ve,” located on Malavé Street in the municipality of Mariño, right here in the state of Nueva Esparta. Although solder can be found in many places, including Chinese bazaars, most of these products have a high lead content, which makes the soldering process very difficult. We were looking for one with a ratio of 60% tin and 40% lead, with built-in flux, which makes the work easier and guarantees better quality. This type of roll is not exactly cheap, but it is worth it for the results it offers.
Solo nos faltaba conseguir el estaño. Afortunadamente, en el mismo lugar donde compramos la fibra nos recomendaron visitar “Electrónica.com.ve”, ubicada en la calle Malavé del municipio Mariño, aquí mismo en el estado Nueva Esparta. Aunque el estaño se puede conseguir en muchos sitios, incluso en los bazares chinos, la mayoría de esos productos tienen un alto contenido de plomo, lo que dificulta mucho el proceso de soldadura. Nosotros estábamos buscando uno con una proporción de 60% de estaño y 40% de plomo, con fundente incorporado, lo cual facilita el trabajo y garantiza una mejor calidad. Este tipo de rollo no es precisamente económico, pero vale la pena por los resultados que ofrece.
With all our shopping done and the day's to-do list almost complete, we headed back home. On the way, as always, I stopped to admire the urban and natural landscapes around us. The island has a unique beauty, and every corner offers a different postcard-like image, whether it's the green mountains or the colorful houses that adorn the streets.
Con todas nuestras compras realizadas y la lista de pendientes del día casi completada, emprendimos el regreso a casa. En el camino, como siempre, me detuve a admirar los paisajes urbanos y naturales que nos rodean. La Isla tiene una belleza única, y cada rincón ofrece una imagen que parece una postal distinta, ya sea las montañas verdes o las casas coloridas que adornan las calles.
