[ENG/ESP] A different kind of day with the love of the whole family
I wish you all a wonderful day. Today I want to share with you a very special experience I had yesterday, a day that began with work expectations and ended up being a celebration full of love, surprises, and unforgettable moments with my family.
The night before, I received a call asking me to report to work early in the morning with the team, as we had to install the Sunsol Unik filter loads. Although it was my birthday, my commitment to work has always been a priority. So I mentally prepared myself for an intense day, full of tasks and responsibilities.
I woke up very early, but to my surprise, I wasn't the only one who got up with enthusiasm. My son and husband woke me up with a smile and a delicious coconut cake that they had lovingly prepared themselves. They sang Las Mañanitas to me first thing in the morning, and that sweet gesture filled my heart. They knew it would be a busy day, and they didn't want me to leave home without feeling the love that surrounds me. At that moment, the other part of the family in Cuba joined in, singing to me and sending their good wishes via video call. It was all very emotional. I also opened the chocolates my sister had sent me on behalf of everyone, carefully saved for this special occasion.
Les deseo un día maravilloso a todos. Hoy quiero compartirles una experiencia muy especial que viví ayer, un día que comenzó con expectativas de trabajo y terminó siendo una celebración llena de amor, sorpresas y momentos inolvidables junto a mi familia.
Desde la noche anterior, recibí una llamada para que me presentara temprano en la mañana con el equipo, ya que debíamos colocar las cargas del filtro del Sunsol Unik. Aunque en este día cumplía un año más de vida, mi compromiso con el trabajo siempre ha sido una prioridad. Así que me preparé mentalmente para un día intenso, lleno de tareas y responsabilidades.
Me desperté muy temprano, pero para mi sorpresa, no fui la única que se levantó con entusiasmo. Mi hijo y mi esposo me despertaron con una sonrisa y una deliciosa torta de coco que ellos mismos habían preparado con mucho cariño. Me cantaron las mañanitas a primera hora, y ese gesto tan dulce llenó mi corazón. Sabían que el día sería agitado, y no querían que saliera de casa sin sentir el amor que me rodea. A ese momento se unió la otra parte de la familia que está en Cuba, quienes, a través de una videollamada, también me cantaron y enviaron sus buenos deseos. Fue muy emotivo todo. Además, abrí los bombones que mi hermana me había enviado en nombre de todos, cuidadosamente guardados para esta ocasión especial.
After that beautiful awakening and a breakfast filled with laughter, my husband and I went out in search of Luis to start work. The weather also joined in the celebration, giving us a splendid day. I took the opportunity to take some photos that captured the essence of the landscape, with the intention of sharing them with you later.
Después de ese hermoso despertar y un desayuno lleno de risas, salimos mi esposo y yo en busca de Luis para comenzar con el trabajo. El clima también se sumó a la celebración, regalándonos un día espléndido. Aproveché para tomar algunas fotos que capturaron la esencia del paisaje, con la intención de compartirlas más adelante con ustedes.
Between stories and landscapes, we arrived at the hotel, ready to get to work. But when we got to the filter area, we were surprised to find that they hadn't finished installing the PPR pipes, which prevented us from doing our part of the job. We had to leave without being able to complete the task. The hotel apologized for the lack of coordination and assured us that they would call us when everything was ready.
Although I felt momentarily frustrated, I understood that sometimes things don't turn out as you expect, and you have to let them flow. If something can't be done at the moment, you simply move on to what can be done. And so it was. I returned home with time to enjoy the day with my two loves, who had a wonderful plan prepared for me.
Entre cuentos y paisajes llegamos al hotel, listos para poner manos a la obra. Pero al llegar al área de los filtros, nos llevamos una sorpresa: aún no habían terminado de colocar los tubos PPR, lo cual impedía que pudiéramos realizar nuestra parte del trabajo. Tuvimos que retirarnos sin poder completar la tarea. El hotel nos ofreció disculpas por la falta de coordinación y nos aseguraron que nos llamarían cuando todo estuviera listo.
Aunque me sentí momentáneamente frustrada, entendí que a veces las cosas no salen como uno espera, y hay que dejar que fluyan. Si algo no puede hacerse en el momento, simplemente se le da paso a lo que sí puede ser. Y así fue. Regresé a casa con tiempo para disfrutar del día con mis dos amores, quienes tenían preparado un plan hermoso para mí.
We headed to La Vela shopping center, where we had lunch at Bonsái Sushi, one of my favorite places. I enjoyed my favorite food, sushi, prepared exquisitely. We had a wonderful time, laughing at the jokes of my son and husband, who together make every moment unique and special.
Nos dirigimos al centro comercial La Vela, donde almorzamos en Bonsái Sushi, uno de mis lugares favoritos. Disfruté de mi comida preferida, el sushi, preparado de manera exquisita. Pasamos un rato muy bonito, riendo con las ocurrencias de mi hijo y mi esposo, quienes juntos hacen que cada momento sea único y especial.
After lunch, we walked around the mall, and I received more gifts and thoughtful gestures that made me feel very loved. I can't complain; I had an amazing time. The best part was the three of us being together, like a piece of candy, united and happy.
At the end of our outing, we returned home to relax. My husband had selected a movie for us to watch together, making sure I didn't do anything else that day. He just wanted me to rest and enjoy myself.
Después del almuerzo, caminamos por el centro comercial, recibí otros regalos y detalles que me hicieron sentir muy querida. No me puedo quejar, la pasé increíble. Lo mejor de todo fue estar los tres juntos, como una melcocha, unidos y felices.
Al finalizar nuestro paseo, regresamos a casa para relajarnos. Mi esposo había seleccionado una película para que la viéramos juntos, asegurándose de que no hiciera nada más ese día. Solo quería que descansara y disfrutara.
As you can see, the whole plan for the day changed. What seemed like it was going to be a day of work and effort ended up being a wonderful day, full of love, laughter, and moments that I will cherish in my heart.
