Restless Fuse-Blowing Thoughts

avatar

Tying loose ends, coming home to roost, a foggy future, caught in a storm, jumping from "it's so over!" to "we're so back!" and vice versa.

Uneasiness morphs into uncomfortable-ness which morphs into restless-ness that blows fuses into pure chaos like trying to hold water in cupped hands.

Raw unfiltered thoughts are unpresentable because you can't represent yourself with a version of yourself that's performing normalcy when the real you is all jagged edges and contradictions.

"Tic tac toe" should go well with "I don't know" because they're both about simple patterns failing. Three X's in a row can't solve the deeper game, and admitting ignorance is the only honest move when life refuses to fit neat categories.

Polished responses are a byproduct of sitting down and processing raw unrefined reactions, and as long as the music is playing, the mood is bound to change from response to reaction with the snap of a finger.

It matters not whether it's an IF or WHEN type of sentence, although saying "when I get home" seems much more hopeful than saying "if I get home."

Words can be misleading, as they're designed to create a diversion so the elephant in the room can keep hiding in plain sight.

In matters of self-expression, showing works a lot better than telling. But because I can tell you're listening, I'll keep telling what comes to mind until the words run out.

Throwing words at the wall until something sticks, hoping someone out there will catch the pieces that fall and recognize the pattern in the chaos.

We dress up our mess, call it growth, call it progress, call it anything but what it is: being human in a world that asks us to have it all figured out.

The funny and quite obvious thing is, nobody really does.

Everyone is just improvising, hoping their next move makes sense and they can catch a much-needed break between one storm passing and another rolling in.

When the storm passes, the fog lifts for a while. Loose ends stay loose because that's how life works.

All are just walking around with unfinished stories, half-written chapters, and questions that don't have clean answers.

That's more or less life in a nutshell. All wells dry up eventually just so we can all learn the "value of water".

Yeah, no really has a hang of what life is. We just move with the tides hoping that before the water dries up, we would have made a headway of some sort.

Right, before the water dries, we can cover a lot of ground amidst the uncertainty by just keep putting one step in front of the other. The direction sometimes is the harder part to solve, but we have to start somewhere and trust the process, isn't it?

Holy moly what a cascade of word games and idioms! Had to read some of them twice to get them. Nice one! Thank you for sharing!

My favorite of them.

Yeah, I probably woke up in a different state of consciousness that day. Little coherence, more messy and open ended kind of thoughts.
