So freaking true, in its entirety! I think when people say forgive and forget, they're totally missing the point of how human nature works. Bad behaviour, in any form, should not be tolerated, especially when it keeps repeating. Trying to forget only makes one become more resentful because the deed stays in one's memory and isn't easily replaced with subsequent good behaviors.
The clay pot analogy is well on point, the cracks will always be there once they're made, you can't remove them without replacing the clay pot altogether :)

I like to create analogies, maybe this wasn’t one of my best to express my thoughts, but I’m glad you liked it!
Same here too! I think analogies can be a great way to drive a point home and make it much more relatable. This one was well fitting imo :)
