Before Kimetsu No Yaiba, Solo Leveling, and many other successful anime series acclaimed by audiences worldwide, there was Inuyasha. An anime that marked a stage in the lives of many of my readers, because it is a timeless masterpiece that brilliantly combines fantasy, action, romance, and Japanese mythology. Thanks to the work of Rumiko Takahashi, fans around the world were immersed in one of the most extensive and grandiose storylines, intertwining the adventures of high school student Kagome Higurashi and the half-demon Inuyasha, destined to recover the fragments of the sacred Shikon Jewel.
Antes de Kimetsu No Yaiba, Solo Leveling y muchas otras series exitosas de animé aclamadas por el público a nivel mundial, existió Inuyasha. Un animé que marcó una etapa en la vida de muchos de los que me leen y esto porque es una obra maestra atemporal que combina brillantemente fantasía, acción, romance y mitología japonesa. Gracias al trabajo de Rumiko Takahashi, sus fans en todo el mundo se sumergieron en una de las tramas más extensas y grandiosas, en la que se entrelazaban las aventuras de la estudiante de instituto Kagome Higurashi y el semidemonio Inuyasha, destinados a recuperar los fragmentos de la joya sagrada Shikon.
For me, Inuyasha is one of the best Isekai series ever made, and anyone who doesn't like it is simply because they haven't seen it. This series is made to be loved and followed in every episode, no matter how many are filler or how many years we had to wait for it to end. With Inuyasha, I learned the value of friendship, loyalty, and that fighting for good always pays off in the end. One of the things that really sets Inuyasha apart is the charisma and variety of its characters, not just the villains, but the protagonists as well. Each one has a past, a story to tell, and there comes a point where each one captivates you emotionally because of what they've been through.
Para mí Inuyasha es una de las mejores series Isekai que ha existido y a quien no le guste es porque no la vió, así de simple. Esta serie está hecha para amarla y seguirla en cada capítulo sin importar cuántos sean de relleno ni cuántos años tuvimos que esperar para hacer su cierre. Con Inuyasha aprendí el valor de la amistad, la lealtad y que la lucha por el bien siempre retorna positivamente. Y es que una de las cosas que caracteriza estupendamente a Inuyasha es el carisma y la variedad de sus personajes, no sólo de los villanos, sino de sus protagonistas. Cada uno tiene un pasado, una historia que contar y llega un momento en el que cada uno te cautiva de manera emotiva por lo que ha vivido.
This anime tells the story of a high school student who turns out to be the reincarnation of a very powerful priestess who lived about 500 years ago. Kagome is the main character of the series, and it is she who accidentally embarks on a journey through time, traveling to the past to meet the half-demon Inuyasha. It is here that everything begins, near an ancient well, an old tree, and the unexpected existence of something called the Shikon Jewel. And despite the lack of logic, Kagome's journey into the past turns out to be more a matter of fate than what she would have experienced normally in her own timeline.
Este animé cuenta la historia de una estudiante de secundaria que resulta ser la reencarnación de una sacerdotiza muy poderosa que existió hace unos 500 años atrás. Kagome es la protagonista principal de la serie y es ella quien se embarca en un viaje en el tiempo por accidente, viajando al pasado para conocer al hombre mitad demonio Inuyasha. Es aquí que todo empieza, cerca de un antiguo pozo, un árbol viejo y la existencia inesperada de algo llamado La Perla de Shikon. Y a pesar de todo carezca de lógica, el viaje al pasado de Kagome resulta ser más cosa del destino que lo que ella hubiera vivido de manera normal en su línea temporal.
However, not all of the story revolves around Inuyasha, Kagome, and the Shikon Jewel. As the story progresses, unforgettable characters are added, such as the demon slayer Sango, the perverted monk Miroku, a half-demon fox named Shippo, and Inuyasha's half-brother, better known as Sesshoumaru. One of my great favorites. There's also Naraku, whom I consider to be the worst villain in all of anime. This man refused to die, and they fought exaggeratedly to bring justice to all the injustices he created because he was so jealous of Inuyasha and his love was unrequited. Naraku is a ruthless villain and one of the most powerful I've ever seen. So far, no one has matched him.
Sin embargo, no toda la historia gira en torno a Inuyasha, Kagome y la perla de Shikon. A medida que avanza la historia se suman personajes inolvidables como la exterminadora de demonios Sango, el monje pervertido Miroku, un zorro mitad demonio llamado Shippo y también el medio hermano de Inuyasha, mejor conocido como Sesshoumaru. Uno de mis grandes favoritos. También está Naraku, a quien catalogo como el peor villano de todos los animés. Este hombre se negaba a morir y lucharon de manera exagerada para hacerle justicia a todas las injusticias que creó por tenerle tanta envidia a Inuyasha y no ser correspondido en el amor. Naraku es un villano despiadado y uno de los más poderosos que he visto. Hasta el momento, nadie lo ha igualado.
I also can't help but mention Kikyo, who was reincarnated as Kagome 500 years later, or at least part of her. This character is one of the saddest throughout the series, a love that was not to be and could have been, but tragedy stood between her and Inuyasha, robbing them of their moment to consummate their love. Despite this, the series shows you moments full of morals, life lessons that make you reflect. I remember Kikyo like that; she gave me many moments of reflection, and even though she makes herself hated, I feel compassion for her. She is one of those characters that leave a mark on your life.
Tampoco puedo dejar de hablar de Kikyo, quien reencarnó en Kagome 500 años después, o al menos una parte de ella. Este personaje es uno de los más tristes que se mantuvo a lo largo de la serie, un amor que no fue y que pudo haber sido, pero la tragedia estuvo desnitada entre ella e Inuyasha, arrebatándoles su momento para concretar su amor. A pesar de esto la serie te muestra momentos cargados de moralejas, enseñanzas de vida que te llevan a reflexionar. A Kikyo la recuerdo así, ella me regaló muchos momentos reflexivos y aunque se hace odiar, yo siento compasión por ella. Es uno de esos personajes que te marcan la vida.
