A Tradition That Keeps Family Going Eating Together

Growing up my family has always enjoyed eating together and there's always a different kind of atmosphere when eating.
And even as we have all grown and left the house. My mother always looks forward to when we visit that's my siblings and I as she would prepare beautiful delicacies for us to enjoy when we do visit.
Most times we all bring something along so we get to have some appetizers before and after the meal.

I don't know if the sounds from the grandchildren or us the grown children that gets to her but I got to understand the feeling when we gathered again in the month of December last year 2024 as everyone of us came home for the holiday. Then I understood that there's nothing like family. There's usually a void after we all leave the house it's just her and my dad. And there's something food does to the family not just about eating but there's this feeling of no matter the quantity of food dished on your plate, you get fill because you are sharing with the ones you love. There's this atmosphere of love and contentment of having yours close.

Even when some of the grandchildren ask for more you will see my mum run to the kitchen to get them what they want with Joy and most time we share from our plates with each other. It's a feeling money can't buy and it's so priceless building it's own memory.
And now that I understand the worth of family sharing a meal together it's a feeling I intend to build into my own family because the table is another place that brings the family together and another level of love is shared.
