W.E #188 || DRESSING IN STYLE AND COMFORT

First, I want to understand what dressing up or down means. The weekends are for relaxation but also, they're the time when one gets to go on occasions not work related, which for the most part requires giving in all your style and showing how much of a good fashion sense one possesses. It's the time one gets to try out other clothes in his closet that aren't like the very official ones.

My dress sense for the weekend depends on my mood. You know, it's not like during the weekday when I have to be all suited-up in line with work dress-up rules. I mostly stay at home or might have some engagements, all of which require outfits best suited for the occasion.

I could be going to the market on a Saturday and a simple Polo and combat pants would suffice. If I have to go by the gym or football field, then sports attire is best. Occasions as weddings or just Hangouts require much more presentable outfits. Don't get that wrong, I never dress in a way that lacks appeal.

My simple rule always, just as my Nigerian people always say is "never to be caught unfresh." Whether I am home or wherever, I want to be comfortable and look good always. You know, the kind that even when you come across someone from way back(maybe an ex), you don't feel like you look like shit.

My weekends are sometimes busy and require mobility, and if dressing up means looking so good that it feels extra, then that's what I do. I'd rather have it that way than have conflicts in my mind later on on why I wore that particular shirt or why I didn't notice my footwear isn't perfect fit for my outfit.

How's it said... 'better to be extra than less' right? But then, you can say that my outfits are just the regular(casual), what makes it extra are the accessories and my carriage which I pair it up with. But if I have to be home, I want to get in all the air I can to every part of my body. What works best here is a pair of shorts and for the upper body, I go shirtless.

I like comfort and that's what I go for first when picking an outfit, then I consider other things like the weather, color but most importantly, the occasion. I always want to look right for every occasion. Wouldn't make sense wearing a suit to go see a football game, would it? Definitely not. All in all, for whatever the event, I always want to look my best and nothing less.

Ohh, the kind of clothes you had in every occasion looks neat and cool. Well, that should be it if we want to look presentable, not just for everyone but for ourselves too. But the most challenging part on dressing up is if we have clothes that can fit on each occasion, this is where I always have a hard time on dressing up, it's hard to choose cox most of my close is a comfy one hahaha. And it's not presentable at all. (≧▽≦)

Then maybe you can start by sorting through your wardrobe and sectioning every item of clothing as you'd consider fit for occasion. You can get different boxes and have gym attire in one, work outfit in one and so on.

That way, you know which one you don't have the most and stick up. But even more, it'll be easier to make a pick for an event. You should try it. I know they're really good ones in there😁

Thanks for the compliment too

The thing is, my everyday clothes was also my clothes in some occasions, no dresses, blouses or skirts. Just T-shirt, pants and shorts above knee. Although I also want to dress up with more presentable wardrobe, my mind can't just really just go with it. I go with what i use to wear (≧▽≦). But well, it's not like I attend lots of occasion so it's ojay hehe.

You have to make up your mind first. If you feel there's a need for new clothes, get them. It's all for your use.
