Settling Scores Amicably
As individuals and people with different understanding, we handle issues when they happen with different perspectives. But what matters mostly when it comes to arguments is knowing when to walk away to avoid escalating matters. Although arguments that has to do with family, siblings or even those in relationships can sometimes lead to involving a third party settlement.
Having to argue with people ordinarily is something I see as not totally bad because there are some kinds of argument that brings eye 👁 opening to others while many also get to learn from arguing with others especially when it comes to who knows the best. Like when guys argues about football and other areas of sports 🏀.
The problem with argument is that it can lead to a bigger issue, if care is not taken because there are those who would never want to give up even if they are wrong 😑, and this is the kind of argument am always wanting to avoid, and unless I see that the person involved literally want to step on my toes.
About a week ago I was in a commercial bus coming back from work when the driver picked up some passengers along the road. Although where he picked the two guys was not supposed to be the same fair he charged those of us that was already inside the bus. But the driver insisted the guys must pay the same fair due to how expensive fuel ⛽️ is. So the guys started to argue with the driver. Telling him that he was among those that voted inn the current President. Why should he be charging them extra from where he picked them?
This argument eventually became something big that almost lead to fight because the guys refused to pay the fair. And as I set in that bus 🚌 my mind was not at ease because of how the driver was being distracted which can cause accident on the road. All I needed to do was to start pleading to the guys to calm down and settle with the driver amicably. Its not that the guys does not have enough money to pay, but because of how the driver made some stupid comments.
We ended up begging the guys to calm down and pay which they did. But issues like this has continued to occur severally where the drives keep reaping passengers off capitalizing on mentioning gas. I once encountered this same issue whereby the driver mentioned a higher fair while loading his car. And immediately everyone came down from the vehicle and decided to move away from where he parked, so as to enter another on the go vehicle. When he saw that he will loose , he immediately followed us to were we were standing , asking everyone to enter back except me. I was baffled 😮. The man insisted that I was the person to made all the passengers went down from his vehicle 🚗. Oh my gosh! I told him heaven and earth before he could realize himself. In fact all the passengers were begging me to enter his vehicle afterwards but I refused. How dare he accuse me in a matter as this? But after a while, the driver himself came begging me to please forgive him. And I did let go.
I believe that sometimes we argue to see reasons to agree, or make things straight, especially when we are caught up with strangers and those who wants to take advantage of us. We can decide to settle issues amicably if it’s something not to serious but in the cases of serious matters I will always want prove my point to the end, but in a way that will not involve fighting or physically insulting anyone that is involved to avoid regretting my actions later on. This is why we should always control ourselves from anger while standing firm.

When you see that an argument is turning into something that would lead to something weird, you just need to flee.
Most drivers are like this. You can see that he begged after realizing his fault.

I agree with you, arguments are not always bad, but it depends on how we handle them. Some people just don’t like to admit when they are wrong, and that’s where problems start. I like how you stepped in to calm things down in the bus. Sometimes, it’s better to settle issues peacefully than let them get out of control. You also made a good point about controlling anger. It’s always better to stay calm and avoid doing something we might regret later.
Exactly sis. Those Mr right and miss rights are all headaches. They will always refuse to bow .
The best is to control one’s self to avoid had I known.
Thanks beautiful 😻 for all the support. Love ❤️
