As we all know, gender equity or equality is a process of being fair to both men and women according to their respective needs. And again, gender equity is that structural factors that enables equal access and societal opportunities to men and women in everything that concerns anti-discrimination policies.

And talking of gender equity, we can all agree that its one topic that has brought lots of misunderstandings because of the belief many has when it comes to why should women be treated equally with men. In fact its always a hit argument when ever issues on gender equality arises and will continue to be, but as for this prompt, I will give it my best coming from the angle of how modern times are changing beliefs on gender equality despite how an average couple see gender equity as just that fairness each deserves, believing in culture that states a woman must respect a man.

Although the bible made us to understand that God created man first and took out just one rib from his ribs to create a woman, which has been the long belief and which was why the ancient people capitalized on how men must be respected more than women, but modernization and civilization came and changed everything which is how gender equality became something so strong.

For me I believe that we are all created in the same equal way as men and women and why should both not be treated fairly even though if many see women as that gender that is not strong. Women being created from the rib of a man does not mean that they are weak because time has proved that women handles their position properly at home as wives and in the work places as bosses which proves that women are not weaker sex.

Its only out of respect that women were so submissive during the days of our fore- fathers due to how its believed that the men will be the ones that will go to work and bring food 🥘 to the family. And this act of ignorance continued for decades since women then believed they have to take care of the house and the children, which many families still do in this era of ours but I can tell you that 95% of women are breadwinner in this recent times which is due to how civilization has brought lots of changes.

Civilization, modernization and education I can say is the root to this current changes we are having as many have seen that change is the only thing constant and going to school is another thing that both men and women do to get educated which brings more understanding in a home where both couples has to know that respecting each other in all they do is that fairness both deserves.

And I can tell you also that situation around the world 🌎 has shown that women are making waves in the world of businesses, technology and in corporate bodies. This environment has made it very obvious that gender equality must exist even though many are finding it hard to cope with. And analysis has also shown that women are becoming the best CEO’s in the industrial sectors. It does not matter if many believes that the men has more energy and stronger than the women, the issue here is that women has been believed to be more focused and articulative in nature which boost their commitment in all they do, making and creating a better society.

However, despite commitments to work and businesses, women has continued to stay committed to their marriages, making sure to put all efforts in carrying their family along both in financial support and other responsibilities that comes up from time to time. And with all these responsibilities, women also know that respecting their husbands is something nothing will stand against unless when it becomes otherwise.

In final understanding, our parents made us to believe that the man should always be the head of the house, being the breadwinner, but time keeps changing everything, especially those that has to do with beliefs and culture as civilization brought modernization.
