How Important First Aids Are As A Parent ⛑

First aids are basic in every home especially in homes where we have growing children. Parents are always prepared with some medical aids which does not need doctors prescription because there some emergencies that needs immediate attention before taking the case to the hospital if it’s serious afterwards.

My mother was always having firsthand aids in the kit box 📦 while we were growing up because as children we once in a while get to injure ourselves while playing and then we will not want to play so rough because we were always afraid of methylated sprits for sterilizing wounds which usually hot you a while then stops. In the first aid ⛑ box then she will have cotton wool, olive 🫒 oil methylated spirits , bandages, penicillin ointments and some mild painkillers for firsthand care.

So when I started living alone as an adult I made sure to have a first aid ⛑ box and even into having children. I made sure to follow the foot steps of my mother making sure to have the basics to the extent of some antibiotics that are minor with doctors prescription in case of emergency plasters, disinfectants. And with the millennium era, more things that are supposed to be in the first aid were added because our era were more knowledgeable.

I once encountered a serious accident in my home some years back. My younger daughter mistakenly fell into a boiled hot water that was for bathing. I usually boil this water in a large pot, then will be taking it for mixing for their bathing. And that very morning as the water was boiled and kept, getting ready for their bathing, she mistakenly rushed into the kitchen for cup of water and fail backwards into the water. I could not believe myself. I rushed towards her and dragged her up immediately. Removed her overall and placed her on the dinner table, then went after the first aids box 📦, brought out the olive oil which I poured on all the areas by her right leg 🦵. This immediately held her skin back from squeezing together from the severeness of this accident. The olive 🫒 oil helps to calm down the heat from hot water my mom has told me back then.

However, I later took her to the General Hospital where we were admitted for proper treatment. We were admitted for close to 5 weeks in the hospital for proper daily washing and checking since she was just 4 years then . The doctors said the first aid ⛑ which was the olive 🫒 oil really helped from more damages.

And as the years goes by , we keep learning more of how important first aids is to the house, and not just to only families but every home in general.
