Homemade Tiger Nut, Coconut Milk Recipe 🌰🥥🥛.

Blessed new week dear Hivers and friends. Hope we rested well over the weekend as we prepare to have a productive and energetic week. And today I bring you something new from my recipe book 📚 that you will love ❤️.

I made a homemade Tiger Nut and coconut milk 🥛🌰🥥 to share and teach you today friends. This homemade tiger nut, coconut milk is a whole dairy-free milk that is so healthy requiring just few ingredients to make. This milk is also vegan , since it’s dairy free. A Simple and straightforward recipe.

And checking on Tiger Nut Milk Drinks for more explicit. Its (aka Horchata De Chufa ). And Tiger Nut ( aka Cyperus Esculentus) . These are not actually nuts but are part of the tuber family like potatoes 🥔 and artichoke . An excellent alternative for those with nuts and grain allergies 🤧. A few other names for these nuts are earth almond, yellow nutsedges , chufa , etc.

As I was going grocery over the weekend and coming through fruits vendors, I came across a very fresh Tiger nuts 🌰 and making some fresh milk from it immediately came to mind since I also have sone coconut 🥥 in the refrigerator. This recipe does not require much of our time and the end result is worth tying.

Lets see the ingredients and steps we can take to produce this delicious healthy dairy-free milk.

INGREDIENTS:

100 g of Tiger Nuts
A medium slice coconut
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
A glass of spring water

UTENSILS

Fish shape grater
Mug cup with sieve
Hand manual grinder

STEPS FOR PREPARATION:

Step 1.

I will start by grating the coconut to enable a smoothie blending in the blender.

Step 2.

I will grind the Tiger Nut using this manual grinder. (Because its fresh and succulent, it was a bit easier).

Step 3.

Took the tiger nut into the blender adding the grated coconut and some spring water.

Step 4.

Next is to go ahead to blend the added ingredients with a gradual process of the blender .

Step 5.

I will sieve the blended tiger nut and coconut to bring out their milk 🥛, pressing with spoon for pressure.

And here we have the milk and the residual pulps. This pulp can easily be made into flour by leaving it to dry on its own or dehydrateI it at a very low temperature in the oven which I later did.

Here is the tiger nut, coconut pulp flour now dried. This can be used for any baking..

I will re-sieve the milk to get a very premium tiger nut 🌰 , coconut 🥥 milk 🥛.

And finally, this healthy dairy-free milk will be served. You can see how nourishing its looking even without tasting it. Its so natural and full of nutrients. Added slight of cinnamon for aroma.
