We all know how important taxes are in boosting the economy of every country especially in countries that’s high in importation of commodities that they can not produce locally. And usually the government targets some companies that imports some certain goods with higher tariffs, making it difficult for most companies to make enough profits and this however bounces back to the final consumers through high cost 💲 of retail purposes.

This very topic by #hivelearners on if the government imposing higher taxes on unhealthy products to make them more expensive and reduce consumption is what I see as a move that can not help the economy. Products like alcohol 🥃, cigarettes 🚬 and sugar are goods that are consumed by many individuals and has higher rate of importation when compared to other products that does not give the government more tax remittances. This in other words means that the government are always tactical when it comes to fixing of tariffs and taxes on products, knowing the most that needs not to be tampered with or hindered as not to stop flow of the income that boost the economy.

Not that the government has not tried their best in curbing ways to reduce the consumption of hard drugs, alcohol 🍺, cigarettes 🚬 and other dangerous substances because they know how harmful its affecting the citizens, but the issue here is that they believed that their is nothing they can do anymore. And why not? How about banning the importation of these harmful products? This is where there seem to be sabotage.

For me it will be so good and better if alcohol 🍺, cigarettes, sugar which is just on the side, tramadol, and many other pain killer drugs are banned from being imported into countries, especially countries where the gap between the rich 🤑 and the poor is so high because no matter however expensive these products are, those who can afford it will continue to go for it . And not just because they can afford it, but because they feel its their right to have merry while living their lifestyle.

We see addiction as something that many has inculcated into their lifestyle for years which is why many will always look for that drug, alcohol 🍺 cigarettes 🚬 and others to stay alive both during happy 😊 and sad mood. And the abuse I see as something the government can not be able to handle since every adult 👵 should know how to live a responsible lifestyle. Many are used to drinking everyday and once they have not taking any alcohol 🍺, will not feel good due to how they have trained their body system. Others who smoke will tell you that if they don’t smoke cigarette 🚬 after eating, their food 🥘 will not settle. This is indeed absurd.

The government however has seen how these products are constantly yielding income through taxes which has helped in boosting the economy and will not want to ban these products completely, and will also not want to impose higher taxes on the companies as to allow them keep importing the raw materials and others that are imported through finished goods. I can tell you that alcohol 🍺, cigarettes 🚬 tramadol and other hard substances are what has kept many countries boosted in economy. Alcohol in general has amounted to 3/4 percent earnings through taxes and tariffs paid by companies when compared to food 🥘 and beverages🍫.

Why imposing hefty taxes and tariffs when the government has the power to ban these products completely? And why approving retail stores 🏬 sales places where these people go to buy or drink excessively? These are the questions the government needs to answer if they are not using the masses called the citizens to play games, enriching their pockets through the taxes companies are paying to the government that we don’t see. This is a game of Chess ♟.

In conclusion, my countries boarder that is connected to some boarders has been closed for a while now due to how the government does not want traders to bring inn some foreign Rice 🍚, groundnut oil, packaged brans, some imported grains and wheats 🌾 . They want the citizens to concentrate on the local produce that they the government did not pay attention to for a well finished product. Its sad how the masses are always being used as an escape goat 🐐. They are full of selfishness and lack genuineness.
