Happy weekend guys and hope we are resting enjoying well-being 😍.

It has been a very stressful week for me trying to juggle things together and with plans to also putting things in place for my daughter who is going back to school. It can be so overwhelming but that is what it is for we humans. “ Life is like riding a bicycle 🚲, to keep our balance, we must keep moving” - Albert Einstein.

And to the topic ending this week’s Hive Learners featured content for week 179, edition 03, its quite an interesting one because it has to do with humans and how others are still living in captive in other words seen and called modern slavery even after many years slavery was said to be abolished.

It saddens me on how many are still struggling to live a free and happy life because of how they are not opportune and can’t see any other ways to succeed in life unless they go through this route of people using them for services in one way or the other.

Child Labor:

First is that even after the anti-slavery law all around the universe and which many are away of, child labor is one big problem many children are facing due to how their original parents can not be able to take care of them by sending them to school, instead these children are giving out to other families who called themselves the rich 🤑. Here some of this children becomes house boys and girls who never get to enjoy what the kids of the rich 🤑 are enjoying. And not just that they are marginalized in many things but the issue is how they are over labored , carrying out chores that are bigger than them. This is “modern day child labor slavery”.

Industries Across The World:

It not just only in my country Nigeria 🇳🇬, but all over the world 🌍 where people working in some industries and factories are being used for slave labor by over working them in various productions and under paying them. China 🇨🇳 is no one in this modern day slavery because of how they are mostly large in goods manufacturing. This incident is currently still going because of how poverty and economic hardship has continued to subdue people into doing hard labor for less pay.

In my country Nigeria 🇳🇬, many workers are under paid, even those that went to the University, but because of how the labor market is currently , many take up any kind of job they see just to sustain feeding and house rent. And the worst being that the government are not showing concern on how parents will struggle and train their children but these parents will end up not reaping from their children they die or their death. This is a sad story tale.M

Marital And Family Slavery:

And despite the olden days system of marriage where parents betroth their girl children to those they choose for them because they fill they have the right to marry them out to their own choice of person which civilization and awareness to personal right and choice interrupted the norms, the modern day slavery has continued this pattern of marriage but with just little differences. We can still parents wanting and pushing their daughters to the rich 🤑 in marriage match making. Those rich parents want their girl children to marry the rich 🤑 even when love ❤️ and personal compatibility is not considered as priority. This is a modern day slavery for the girl child because emotionally they will never enjoy the marriage despite having everything at the tips of their fingers.

However, many of this family who are involved in this system of lifestyle ends up not being happy at the end. The parents who gives out their children gains nothing at the end unless the child is opportune to be trained in school by the adopting family. Those who are under paid lives wasting until they were able to loose the chains ⛓ on them by getting a better job. Some married ladies go through hail in their marriages even when there is money 💰 but can not buy happiness. And at the end divorce is the only ending. We need to keep advocating for those chains ⛓ on humans to be destroyed for ever.
