Come to think of it No one spoke of the Other North, It wasn’t on any map but some claimed it appeared to those who were lost, what a mystery One evening walking home, I found a narrow path where none had been before The air grew colder as I stepped forward The trees shimmered silver, and the sky turned a deep violet Then I saw figures standing still, their faces familiar yet distant One stepped forward My breath caught. “Mother?” meanwhile She had been gone for years, with the way she whispered Fear gripped me, Where am I, I asked out of fear The Other North, she answered. Come with me, But i hesitated at this point all I was thinking was My life, my home could I leave it behind I stepped back Her eyes dimmed, Once you leave you can never return, The world blurred, immediately I realized myself I turned and ran for my dearest life, By dawn the path was gone But now I know the truth that The Other North existed.
