Hello my dear friend @sanjeevm and Also My HIVERS friends and also @asean.hive community friends.
I hope you are all is very happy and enjoy your life with your family and also your health are very amazing.

Festivals are the heartbeat of Indian culture. They bring people together, strengthen relationships, and remind us of our traditions. Among all the festivals celebrated in India, Holi holds a special place in everyone’s heart. It is not just a festival of colors, but a celebration of love, unity, happiness, and the victory of good over evil.
My name is Sujit Sawant, and this year, I had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate Holika Dahan and Holi Festival with my society friends, children, and women of our community. It was not just a celebration; it was a beautiful memory that will remain in our hearts forever.
This blog captures our entire journey — from planning and preparation to the final colorful moments filled with laughter and joy.

🌙 The Significance of Holika Dahan
Before celebrating colors, we first celebrate Holika Dahan, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
The story behind Holika Dahan comes from Hindu mythology — the story of Prahlad, a devotee of Lord Vishnu, and his father Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyakashipu wanted everyone to worship him as a god, but Prahlad continued worshipping Lord Vishnu. Angered by this, Hiranyakashipu tried many times to kill his son but failed.
Finally, he asked his sister Holika, who had a magical boon that fire could not burn her, to sit in a fire with Prahlad on her lap. However, due to divine blessings, Holika burned in the fire while Prahlad remained safe.
This event represents that evil may appear powerful, but goodness and faith always win.

🏘️ Planning the Celebration in Our Society
Our society decided to celebrate Holika Dahan together. A meeting was arranged where all society members, including elders, women, and youth, participated actively.
Planning Included:
Arranging wood for Holika Dahan
Organizing decoration
Preparing prasad
Setting safety measures
Planning next day Holi celebration
Organizing music system
Assigning responsibilities to volunteers
Everyone contributed in their own way. Some arranged decorations, some collected funds, and some handled logistics.
The most beautiful part was seeing children excited and women actively participating in every decision.

🔥 Holika Dahan Night – A Divine Experience
On the evening of Holika Dahan, our society ground was beautifully decorated. Rangoli designs were made at the entrance. The wood was arranged properly in the center.
Women performed the puja with devotion. They circled the Holika fire while praying for the well-being of their families. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual energy.
Children watched with curiosity, asking questions about the story behind the festival.
When the fire was lit, everyone folded hands and prayed. The flames rose high, symbolizing the burning away of negativity, ego, and hatred.
We distributed prasad and greeted each other with warm wishes.
That night was peaceful, spiritual, and filled with unity.

🎨 Holi Morning – The Festival of Colors
The next morning, excitement filled the air. Children woke up early with water balloons and pichkaris ready.
By 9 AM, our society ground turned into a colorful playground.

Highlights of Our Holi Celebration:

  1. Children’s Joy
Children were the stars of the day. They ran around laughing, throwing colors, and playing with water balloons. Their happiness was infectious.
  2. Women Participation
The women of our society celebrated with full enthusiasm. They applied gulal to each other and shared sweets. Their smiles made the celebration more graceful and lively.
  3. Friends & Youth Energy
We friends danced to Bollywood Holi songs. Music echoed throughout the society. Everyone forgot differences and became one in colors.
  4. Elder’s Blessings
Elders sat together enjoying the scene and blessing the younger generation.

🍬 Food, Sweets & Togetherness
No festival is complete without delicious food.
After playing Holi, everyone gathered for snacks and sweets.
Traditional Holi dishes included:
Gujiya
Puran Poli
Thandai
Namkeen
Samosa
Sharing food strengthened our bonding. It was not just about eating; it was about celebrating together.

👩‍👧‍👦 Women & Children – The Heart of Celebration
One special thing about our celebration was the active involvement of women and children.
Women organized games, managed prasad distribution, and ensured safety.
Children added energy and innocence to the festival.
It truly became a family celebration, not just a social event.

🌈 Unity in Diversity
In our society, people from different backgrounds live together. But during Holi, all differences disappear.
Religion, caste, age — nothing matters when colors unite hearts.
We hugged each other and wished “Happy Holi” with love.
This is the true spirit of Holi — spreading happiness and removing misunderstandings.

🎵 Music, Dance & Cultural Spirit
Bollywood Holi songs created an energetic atmosphere. Everyone danced freely without hesitation.
Laughter, cheers, and music filled the environment.
Some of the popular Holi songs played were:
Rang Barse
Balam Pichkari
Holi Ke Din
Dance brought everyone closer.

🌿 Safety & Cleanliness Measures
We ensured safe celebration:
Used organic colors
Avoided excessive water wastage
Kept first-aid ready
Cleaned society ground after celebration
Responsibility is equally important as enjoyment.

💖 Emotional & Social Impact
After the celebration, one thing became clear — festivals strengthen relationships.
People who rarely talked before connected warmly.
Children created memories.
Women formed stronger friendships.
We felt proud of our society unity.

🌟 Lessons Learned
From this celebration, we learned:
Unity makes celebrations special.
Participation of all age groups matters.
Traditions connect generations.
Small efforts create big happiness.
Togetherness is the biggest celebration.
