My Hive Blog - 19 : My Little Paradise: A Day in My Garden

Hello my dear friend @sanjeevm and Also My HIVERS friends and also @asean.hive community friends.
I hope you are all is very happy and enjoy your life with your family and also your health are very amazing.

There is something magical about walking into your own garden. The moment I step through the small gate that separates my home from the open greenery, the stress of the world outside seems to fade away. Today was one of those special days when I dedicated my time to working in my garden, and the experience was as refreshing as a cool breeze on a summer morning.

The Heart of My Garden

My garden is not just a piece of land with plants; it’s my personal sanctuary. Over the years, I have planted different types of flowers and fruit trees, turning it into a living piece of art that changes with the seasons. Among the most beloved plants in my garden are the guava tree (पेरू), custard apple tree (सीताफळ), rose bushes (गुलाब), and hibiscus plants (जास्वंद). Each of these plants has its own personality, beauty, and purpose, making my garden a place full of life and colors.

The Guava Tree – The Green Jewel

One of the most prominent trees in my garden is the guava tree. Its bright green leaves and sturdy branches stand proudly, offering shade and promise of sweet, fragrant fruit. The guava tree is not just a plant for me; it’s a symbol of patience. From the time it was a small sapling to now, when it bears fruit every year, I have seen it grow with care and attention.

During guava season, the air around the tree smells fruity and fresh. I often pluck the ripe guavas and share them with my family and neighbors. Eating a guava straight from the tree is a simple joy that no store-bought fruit can match. The crunch of the seeds, the sweetness of the pulp, and the satisfaction of knowing it came from my own garden make it extra special.

The Custard Apple Tree – Nature’s Dessert

Right next to the guava tree stands my custard apple tree. Its branches spread wide, and in the right season, they hold dozens of green, knobby fruits that are soft and sweet on the inside. The custard apple, or sitaphal, is one of nature’s finest desserts. Peeling the fruit to reveal the creamy white flesh is always exciting, and the taste is pure bliss.

The custard apple tree needs less maintenance compared to other fruit trees, but it rewards patience generously. Every year, I look forward to the time when the tree is full of ripe fruits, and my family enjoys them after dinner, just like a special treat.

The Roses – Timeless Beauty

In one corner of my garden, a cluster of rose bushes adds elegance and color. Roses are the queens of flowers — each one delicate, fragrant, and beautiful in its own unique way. I have planted roses in different colors, from deep red to soft pink and sunny yellow. Their blooms bring an unmatched charm to the garden, and every time I see a new rosebud, it feels like a little celebration.

Taking care of roses requires dedication. From pruning the stems to making sure they get the right amount of water, I give them special attention. In return, they bloom generously, making my garden look like something out of a painting.

The Hibiscus – Bold and Beautiful

Another favorite in my garden is the hibiscus plant. Known as jaswand in Marathi, hibiscus flowers are vibrant and full of life. The bright red blooms look stunning against the green leaves, and they also have a special cultural and spiritual significance. Many mornings, I pluck fresh hibiscus flowers to offer in my prayers.

The hibiscus plant blooms almost throughout the year, and its flowers attract butterflies and birds, adding even more life to the garden. It is one of the most giving plants, asking for very little care yet providing endless beauty.

Other Plants and Green Companions

Apart from these main plants, my garden also has other trees and flowering plants that I have planted over time. Some of them are seasonal, bringing new colors and scents every few months. Others are evergreens, keeping the garden fresh and alive all year round. Together, they create a balanced environment where every plant plays its part in the overall beauty.

The Joy of Gardening

Working in my garden is more than just a hobby — it’s a form of therapy. Today, as I spent hours trimming, watering, and clearing dry leaves, I felt deeply connected to nature. The soil on my hands, the smell of fresh leaves, and the sound of birds singing in the background made the experience truly peaceful.

Gardening also teaches patience. You can’t rush nature; plants grow at their own pace, and the results of your care are seen only with time. But when those results come — whether it’s a fresh bloom, a ripe fruit, or simply a healthier plant — the satisfaction is priceless.

A Garden as a Reflection of Life

I often feel that my garden reflects my own life. Each tree and flower represents a different phase — from planting seeds (starting something new) to nurturing growth (putting in consistent effort), and finally to reaping the rewards (enjoying the fruits of your labor). Just like life, there are challenges — pests, weather changes, or plants not growing as expected — but with care and dedication, the garden always bounces back.

Sharing the Garden’s Gifts

One of the best parts about having a garden is being able to share its produce. Whether it’s giving fresh guavas to my neighbors, offering hibiscus flowers for someone’s puja, or simply letting friends enjoy the beauty of blooming roses, sharing brings extra joy. It turns gardening from a personal pleasure into a community happiness.

THANKS 🙏
