Of the UK girl-power groups I only really liked the Sugababes. They were supposedly a bunch of knobends though. Best was when they reformed
My Hive name isn't based on them btw. It's the title of an album by The Dwarves - slightly different style of music. My taste is a bit eclectic. Cough :D
Like that second track - Silence - not heard it before - reminds me of dancing on beaches on the Med. The late 90s marked the start of a lot of dance producers sticking on a decent female session singer. I always liked stuff with Kirsty Hawkshaw, the bonkers daughter of the guy who wrote the terrible Crossroads theme, who was the singer on It's a Fine Day/Orbital's halcyon
Here's one a tiny bit more modern
Like you I was obsessed with music. At my worst I had well over 1000 bits of vinyl and about 4k CDs.
'Delilah - Go' - I have heard before.., the uplifting of 'Chaka Khans Ain't Nobody.. did ring a bell.
The Sugarbabes.., also not for me.. 'Push the Button'.. is what remind me of them and that less than resonates.
The Kirsty Hawkshaw track is OK though. Clouds were a thing for a while..
