¡Hola amigos!! ¿Como han estado?? Espero como siempre que muy bien, llenos de salud, prosperidad y felicidad, sobre todo por qué estamos iniciando una de las épocas más bonitas, navidad!! Así qué feliz comienzo de la navidad para todos, por fin les muestro un poco de como fue esta aventura para nosotros, y digo nosotros por qué fuimos 4 los que decidimos acampar en Macanao, lo genial de tener amigos que aman la naturaleza y las aventuras como tú, es que planes como estos se dan con facilidad, fluyen y se disfrutan al máximo, como era nuestra primera acampada tan lejos decidimos ir en un carro donde podíamos llevar todo lo necesario para estar cómodos, y así probar para un aproxima vez si venir en las motos, ya experimentados en lo que realmente necesitamos para venir hasta acá.

Como ya lo he dicho realmente quería venir a Macanao desde hace mucho, de hecho el día de mi cumpleaños tenía planeada una aventura acá como regalo, pero no pude hacerla, así que me emocionaba muchísimo poder venir y disfrutar de este lado de la Isla, es como viajar a otro lado del mundo, claro, no todos aprecian el clima desértico (tengo conocidos que no les agrada), lleno de cactus y montañas, pero para cualquier amante de la naturaleza, es un paraíso más donde disfrutar de vistas espectaculares y una fauna/flora distinta también.

Hello friends!! How have you been?? I hope you're all doing well, full of health, prosperity, and happiness, especially since we're starting one of the most wonderful times of the year: Christmas!! So, a happy start to the Christmas season to everyone! I'm finally going to show you a little bit of how this adventure went for us. I say "us" because there were four of us who decided to camp in Macanao. The great thing about having friends who love nature and adventures like you is that plans like these come together easily, flow smoothly, and are enjoyed to the fullest. Since it was our first camping trip so far away, we decided to go in a car where we could take everything we needed to be comfortable, and that way we could test the waters for next time, knowing what we really need to get here.

As I've already said, I've really wanted to come to Macanao for a long time. In fact, I had planned an adventure here as a birthday present, but I couldn't do it, so I was very excited to finally come and enjoy this side of the island. It's like traveling to another part of the world. Of course, not everyone appreciates the desert climate (I know people who don't like it), full of cacti and mountains, but for any nature lover, it's another paradise where you can enjoy spectacular views and different flora and fauna.

Llegamos a un restaurante, con el cual habíamos hablado previamente sobre dejar el carro dentro de él para resguardarlo, usar sus baños cuando sea necesario, y por supuesto al día siguiente comer allí, el lugar estaba precioso, luego les muestro más a detalle como luce el restaurante, había oído muchísimo sobre Playa la Pared, y todas eran cosas buenas, personas que habían ido a pasar el día o acampar como lo íbamos a hacer nosotros y la pasaron genial, así qué mis expectativas estaban al tope!.

Una vez recorrimos un poco el lugar y decidimos donde armaríamos nuestras carpas fuimos ordenando y acomodando todo para poder comenzar, la idea era terminar de armar las carpas antes de que anocheciera, más por cuestión de logística llegamos un poco tarde, así que toco ser rápidos, pues ya eran las cinco y media de la tarde y apenas estábamos sacando las piezas. Flor y Agustín armaron rápidamente su carpa, pues esta era más pequeña y fácil de armar, en cambio, la de nosotros es inmensa jajaja.

We arrived at a restaurant where we had previously arranged to leave the car for safekeeping, use the restrooms if needed, and of course, eat there the next day. The place was beautiful; I'll show you more details of the restaurant later. I had heard so much about Playa la Pared, and all good things about it—people who had gone to spend the day or camp, like we were going to do, and had a great time, so my expectations were sky-high!

Once we had explored the area a bit and decided where we would pitch our tents, we started organizing and arranging everything so we could begin. The idea was to finish setting up the tents before nightfall, but due to logistical reasons, we arrived a little late, so we had to be quick, as it was already 5:30 in the afternoon and we were just getting the pieces out. Flor and Agustín quickly set up their tent, since it was smaller and easier to assemble, while ours is enormous haha.

Luego de batallar Chris, Flor y yo para armar la carpa culminamos con éxito la misión justo antes del atardecer jajajaja, bueno amigos, pasa que esta carpa es para 7 personas, por ello lo grande, para ambos es lo justo entre espacio y comodidad, pues Chris mide 1.80 y yo 1.75, por lo que una carpa más pequeña nos habría quedado incómoda, otra cosa a considerar es que ambas carpas son de montaña, así que teníamos que evaluar como se comportaban en arena húmeda como esta, pues como les mencione esta fue nuestra primera prueba de acampar lejos de casa en playa la pared.

After struggling to set up the tent, Chris, Flor, and I finally completed the mission just before sunset, hahaha. Well, friends, this tent is for 7 people, hence its size. For both of us, it's just right in terms of space and comfort, since Chris is 1.80 meters tall and I'm 1.75 meters, so a smaller tent would have been uncomfortable. Another thing to consider is that both tents are mountain tents, so we had to test how they performed on wet sand like this, since, as I mentioned, this was our first time camping away from home at La Pared beach.

Cayó el atardecer y no pudo ser más bello!!! Pronto les muestro las fotos que pude sacar con mi cámara, realmente hermoso, luego cayó la noche, nosotros aprovechando que íbamos en carro llevamos una mesa plegable que trae sillas y compartimientos, la usamos para cenar, merendar, poner linternas, música y disfrutar de la noche, por la cámara de la casa logramos ver que estaba lloviendo en Pampatar, así que nos preparamos para una posible lluvia de madrugada.

¡La cual sucedió!!! De hecho, nos cayó una tormenta, a media noche tuvimos que levantarnos unas 2 o 3 veces para acomodar esquinas de la carpa, igual nuestros vecinos jajaja, por eso al día siguiente estaba todo nublado, aun así nos reímos muchísimo, pues estábamos solos, el pueblo habia quedado sin luz y la tormenta nos tenía alertas, para otros habría sito terrible, para nosotros, fue parte de vivir esta experiencia, así que esa tormenta también se gozó al máximo, fue genial!!!.

Si tienen la oportunidad de vivir nuevas experiencias, recomiendo no saltárselas y vivirlas al máximo, pues sean como sean, están para enseñarnos algo, hacernos evolucionar y disfrutar de esta vida, que por cierto, es una sola, así que a vivirla al máximo!!.

Sunset fell and it couldn't have been more beautiful! I'll show you the photos I took with my camera soon; it was truly gorgeous. Then night fell. Since we were traveling by car, we brought a folding table with chairs and storage compartments. We used it for dinner, snacks, to light flashlights, play music, and enjoy the evening. We saw through the camera in our house that it was raining in Pampatar, so we prepared for a possible downpour in the early morning.

And it happened! In fact, we got caught in a storm. Around midnight, we had to get up two or three times to adjust the corners of the tent, as did our neighbors, haha. That's why it was cloudy the next day. Even so, we laughed a lot, since we were alone, the town had lost power, and the storm had us on edge. For others, it might have been a terrible situation, but for us, it was part of the experience, so we enjoyed that storm to the fullest. It was fantastic!

If you have the opportunity to live new experiences, I recommend not skipping them and living them to the fullest, because whatever they are, they are there to teach us something, make us evolve and enjoy this life, which by the way, we only get one, so live it to the fullest!!
