Hello to all members of this community and drawing lovers! Lately I've been focused on sewing, so I haven't been able to draw, although a part of me longs to sit down and paint a little. So, while I get organized for that, I'd like to show you one of my latest drawings done in a traditional style, a scene that, to me, seems like it came from a dream.

As I mentioned in previous posts, I have many images and photographs saved on my phone for reference, including pictures of flowers. There were some really beautiful ones that I wanted to recreate... but since I don't have much patience for things with so much detail (at least in drawing, haha), I thought I'd create a scene with lots of colorful flowers. First, I started by painting a bluish background with watercolors, and then I added some small splashes with other colors to make the flower petals. I confess I thought it was going to be a disastrous drawing, so I started taking pictures from here, where I more or less began to see it take shape and have some hope, haha:

I decided not to worry about it being perfect and simply let myself go. I put on a video and, in the meantime, I painted the flowers, enjoying the creative process. Sometimes, we let ourselves be bound by perfectionism, when art is an expression that comes from within, without constraints, like flowers that show their splendor when given enough light and allowed to grow at their own pace.

Once I had the flowers, I started refining the petals with colored crayons, using darker shades for shading, and also working on the stems. At this point, my enthusiasm for the drawing only increased, haha. You might think that drawing the stems and leaves was a tedious process, but it wasn't; it was quite relaxing, as I simply painted without worrying about the result. I understand why they say painting can be therapeutic.

In the empty space, I thought I'd place some colorful butterflies. I colored them directly with crayons and added small details with white paint. I adore the final result because it looks like the vision of someone lying in a beautiful garden, and the amazing thing is that I was about to discard the drawing because I thought it was turning out awful, haha, but when I stopped judging it and embraced it, I got so much more than I expected. That's how the creative process is; let's not be hard on ourselves and trust our path as artists. That way, we'll love our creations, and they'll reflect that feeling ✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los dibujos! Últimamente he estado enfocada en la costura, así que no he podido dibujar, aunque una parte de mí anhela sentarse a pintar un poco, así que, mientras que me organizo para ello, me gustaría mostrarles uno de mis últimos dibujos realizados en estilo tradicional, una escena que para mí, parece como sacada de un sueño.

Como les mencioné en post pasados, tengo muchas imágenes y fotografías que guardé en mi teléfono para usarlas como referencia, entre ellas, fotografías de flores. Habían unas muy lindas que quería recrear... pero como no tengo mucha paciencia para dedicarme a cosas con tanto detalle (al menos en dibujo jaja), pensé en elaborar una escena con muchas flores de colores. Primero, comencé realizando un fondo azulado con acuarelas y seguidamente, hice algunas manchitas con los otros colores, para hacer los pétalos de las flores. Confieso que pensaba que iba a ser un dibujo desastroso, por eso, comencé a fotografiar desde acá, donde más o menos, comencé a verle forma y tenerle esperanza jaja:

Decidí no preocuparme porque fuera perfecto y simplemente me dejé llevar. Puse a reproducir un video y mientras tanto, pintaba las flores, disfrutando del proceso creativo. A veces, nos dejamos atar por el perfeccionismo, cuando el arte, es una expresión que nace del ser, sin ataduras, como las flores que muestran su esplendor cuando se les brinda la suficiente luz y se les deja crecer a su propio ritmo.

Una vez que tuve las flores, con crayones de colores, comencé a definir mejor los pétalos, usando tonos más oscuros para el sombreado, así como elaborar los tallos. En éste punto, mi esperanza por el dibujo, no hizo más que subir más jaja creerán que hacer los tallos y las hojas, fue un proceso tedioso, pero no fue así, fue bastante relajante, pues simplemente pintaba sin preocuparme por el resultado. Entiendo porqué dicen que pintar puede ser terapéutico.

En el espacio vacío, pensé en colocar algunas mariposas de colores. Las pinté directamente con los crayones de colores y con al de pintura blanca, les hice unos pequeños detalles. Adoro el resultado final, porque parece la visión de alguien que está recostado en un hermoso jardín y lo increíble fue que estuve a punto de descartar el dibujo porque pensaba que estaba quedando horrible jaja pero cuando dejé de juzgarlo y lo abracé, obtuve mucho más de lo que esperaba. Así es el proceso creativo, no seamos duros con nosotros mismos y confiemos en nuestro camino como artistas, así, amaremos nuestras creaciones y ellas, reflejaran ese sentimiento ✨
