ENGLISH CONTENT

Hello to all the members of this community, anime and cartoon lovers! For a while now, I've been collaborating with my friend @tegoshei, and for our third collaboration, we thought we'd focus on a genre of anime we both love: BL (Boys Love).

There are many series in this genre, so we decided to choose one that we both liked at the time. To do so, I made a list of some series I remembered, and I was very happy when my friend selected Gravitation, as it was the first anime of this type I'd ever seen, so I have very fond memories of that time.

Okay, for those who aren't familiar with the anime, I'll give you a brief introduction. It's about the romance that develops between Shuichi Shindou, a singer in a techno band, and Yuki Eiri, a romance novel writer. Their personalities are completely opposite, so their relationship starts off like a bucket of ice water, haha. But, at least in the manga, where everything is told in a more humorous way, you can read how much fun the author had writing her work.

I was assigned to draw Eiri, the novelist with a cold and arrogant disposition. At the time, he was my favorite character in the series because I was so drawn to his fierceness (I imagine it's because it's a trait I don't possess, and I admire it), but... I'm sure that upon rewatching the anime, I'd end up hating him, since I admit he's quite pedantic, haha. Still, you have to admit he's quite handsome.

It was a challenge to draw it because I'm used to drawing digitally in a "chibi" or more rounded and simple style. Still, I took it as a good opportunity to draw something different from what I'm used to. First, through the app Medibang Paint I made the sketch of the position my character would take, based on what @tegoshei and I had discussed. Then, I started with the lineart, where I tried to draw the hair more defined than how I had originally imagined it, since I wanted to give the sensation of hair that moved easily with the wind ✨

Next, I moved on to defining the color. I wasn't entirely sure about the shirt color, but after so many changes, I finally settled on purple. For the background, I first set a base color, both for the wall Eiri is leaning against and for the rest of the scene. Once that was painted, I moved on to shading.

To finish defining the background, I blurred the colors and added a few light effects to make the scene look really romantic 💕 Once my friend finished her part of the drawing, the Line Camera app was used for the final details.

Even though we've both been pretty busy, it was quite rewarding to be able to work together on this drawing at our own pace. My friend @tegoshei is quite understanding, so I hope to continue collaborating with her on more BL drawings, because I love this genre. It's even made me want to read the manga and rewatch the Gravitation anime 😇

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad, amantes del anime y de los dibujos! Hace un tiempo, he estado haciendo colaboraciones de dibujo con mi amiga @tegoshei y para nuestra tercera colaboración, pensamos en dedicarnos a un género de anime que nos encanta: El BL (Boys Love).

Hay muchas series de éste género, así que optamos por escoger una que nos hubiese gustado a ambas en su momento, para ello, hice una lista de algunas series que recordase y me alegre mucho cuando mi amiga seleccionó a Gravitation, pues se trata del primer anime que vi de éste tipo, así que tengo muy lindos recuerdos de esa época.

Bien, para aquellos que no conozcan el anime, les daré una pequeña introducción. Trata del romance que se genera entre Shuichi Shindou, quién es un cantante de una banda de música techno y Yuki Eiri, un escritor de novelas románticas. El carácter de ambos es totalmente opuesto, así que su relación comienza como un balde de agua helada jaja pero, al menos en el manga, donde todo es relatado de forma más cómica, puedes leer lo mucho que se divertía la autora escribiendo su obra.

A mí me tocó dibujar el personaje de Eiri, el novelista de carácter frío y arrogante. En su tiempo, era mi personaje favorito de la serie, porque me atraía mucho su fiereza (me imagino que es porque es un rasgo que no poseo y lo admiro), pero... seguramente al ver de nuevo el anime, acabaría por odiarlo, pues admito que es bastante pedante jaja Aún así, hay que admitir que es bastante guapo.

Fue un desafío dibujarlo porque estoy acostumbrada a dibujar en digital en un estilo "chibi" o más redondeado y simple. Aún así, lo tomé como una buena oportunidad para dibujar algo diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrada. Primero, a través de la app Medibang Paint realicé el boceto de la posición que tomaría mi personaje, según lo que @tegoshei y yo habíamos hablado. Luego, comencé con el lineart, en donde busqué de dibujar el cabello más definido a cómo lo había pensado en un principio, pues quería dar la sensación de una cabellera que se moviera fácilmente con el viento ✨

Seguidamente, pasé a establecer el color. No estaba muy decidida con el color de la camisa, pero entre tantos cambios, acabé por decidirme por un púrpura. Para el fondo, primero coloqué un color base, tanto para el muro en dónde está apoyado Eiri, como para el resto de la escena. Una vez que estuvo pintado, procedí a realizar las sombras.

Para acabar de definir el fondo, efectué un difuminado entre colores y agregué unos cuantos efectos de luces, para hacer de la escena algo bien romántico 💕 Una vez que mi amiga terminó su parte del dibujo, se utilizó la app Line Camera para los detalles finales.

A pesar de que ambas hemos estado bastante ocupadas, fue bastante gratificante que pudiéramos trabajar juntas en éste dibujo a nuestro ritmo. Mi amiga @tegoshei es bastante comprensiva, así que espero seguir colaborando con ella en más dibujos sobre BL, porque adoro éste género. Hasta me han dado ganas de leer el manga y ver de nuevo el anime de Gravitation 😇
