Time sure flies fast. It's hard to believe that Splinterlands is now celebrating their 6th anniversary. As for my main account, I've checked my profile and I've been playing it since May 2021.

I remember 2021 as the time when Axie Infinity and other play2earn projects started to explode in popularity. I never really got into Axie but had my share of moderate successes with Cryptoblades and a few Wax projects.

What Sets Splinterlands Apart from Others

I was initially doubtful as to whether I would dive into Splinterlands or not. Honestly, what threw me off was the Hive blockchain, which was not that popular at the time, and the art style of Splinterlands. The rewards that you get from playing were incomparable to other projects.

What really drew me into the project was Aggroed and Yabapmatt when I chanced upon one of their town halls. Developers having a weekly report of the state of the project was unheard of at the time. As other gaming projects started to rug their community left and right, here is a group of fully doxxed individuals with a vision of peace, prosperity, and freedom. Since then, I kept an eye on the project even if I only played casually and was never really fully immersed in the whole gaming experience.

My Personal Goals

As I mentioned in my previous Splinterlands post, I intend to grow my land assets whenever there is an opportunity. A few years ago when plots were still unsurveyed, I never thought I would have a chance to even buy a single piece of land. But now I own 5 plots in Saragar and 4 plots in Yorric Dale.

I'm still waiting for players to lower their land prices. With just 150,000 land plots in total, people would soon realize how scarce land really is.

As for my SPS, I am continuously adding more each day. Hopefully, I can turn it into 10,000 in the coming weeks or month. That would be a great milestone for me.

Glint Shop Pack Opening

What's a birthday without opening presents. I've just finished my wild format run and have a few Glint points to spend. And since it's Splinterlands' 6th anniversary, let's try our luck with six veteran draws.
