Update 5 On My Shed
Back in February, in update 4, there was pictures of the roof on the shed, and that it now needed sealed and felted.
Well, today, in May, I got the sealing bit done.
The above is how it looks from the top (and a demonstration of my confidence in the construction.
Here's how it looks from below. Although the OBS is dry you can clearly see water staining
I used plain silicone sealant, like is used around sinks in kitchens and bathrooms. Hopefully that is the top now waterproof. I'll find out on Monday when we are due more rain.
And rain is the reason it has taken from February until now to get this little bit done. Before applying the sealant I wanted the OBS board to have dried out. This is the first time it has done that. We have had such a spell of wet weather that the wood just never had time to dry out before the next drenching.
Assuming there are no leaks needing patched the next job is felt and waterproof coating. Then I have slate to go on the front wall (the one with the window in on the right of the second picture).
With the exterior near done it will be time to start inside and first will be insulation. You can see from the picture below I have some good quality stuff which will go on the walls, and I have thinner and lighter insulation roll for the ceiling.
There's still a ways to go before it becomes the garden office/library of my intentions, but hopefully it'll be done before the 2 year mark of the project.
