How Did My EPL Predictions Go?

Back in August last year I did a post with predictions of where I thought the teams in the EPL may finish.

For each team I gave a range of where I thought they'd end up, as opposed to a set position. That felt like a sensible way of adjudging things.

How did I do? Let's have a look.

Fourteen of my predictions were within range, two were below, and four were above.

Wolverhampton Wanderers performed best against my prediction. They were the only team I had as a potential last place and their fourteenth place finish had them well above that. A steady build on this season's results may just ease some of the hurt fans are feeling from a steep rise in season ticket prices.

At the top of the table, I had Manchester United as one of four teams with a chance of finishing as champions. The other three finished in the top three while only a fantastic FA Cup Final win against the champions got Man Utd into Europe. They will hope to suffer fewer long term injuries through the squad next season.

There was a lot of uncertainty last season with so many teams beginning the season with new or recently appointed managers. It'll be interesting to see what the start of next season looks like.
