Preparing for summer heat

Although the weekend is here

It looks like we are getting a HOT week everything above +/- 22 is to hot for me .
Yes i know it's a feathered friends communtity but without the complete story it's just another bird photography .

So i made the balcony more secure for the cat by making some chicken wire all arround to avoid the cat jumping between the bars in to the lower garden.
That way we could sit and relax on the balcony in the shade without having to worry if the cat would jump down or not , chasing butterflies , birds , bees and other flying things .

The chicken wire is 50cm high so it should be enough to keep the cat in place on the balcony since out cat is not a great jumper .

And that was not a day to soon it seems , the cat was very enthousiastic again about seeing a bird less then a meter below our balcony , i went inside to grab the camera with the 150-500mm lens , it appered to be a Turdus merula / common blackbird / or as we call it in Holland a Merel .

And while me and the cat were looking for the the young one the father was yelling from across the street from my neigbours gutter .

While the youngster had managed to move further away from us in to the hornbeam where the deadleaves gave it a good camouflage

Mean while its dad has given up on it and flew away probably heading for the pub , must be happy hour somewhere .

i even managed to make a small video before it flew away

it flew across the street sitting on my neighbours carport

and the it flew away in to the great unknown.

a very nice and beautiful bird, in my area the name of this bird is the starling.

Lucky you we already had 34 and that high humidity is just killing it .

Yeah but I want some sun again lol. 34 is great in a hot country that is used to it.

Beautiful birds that you've managed to photograph so well!
This summer seems to be getting really hot. Here in my country, it's really exhausting, haha.
