Saturday Cleaning While Waiting for The Clothes I Ordered Online
It's the last day of August! And you know what that means for Filipinos? It's finally Christmas season tomorrow!
And I can already feel the holidays with all the things I'm buying for myself recently. Lol. Yesterday morning, the clothes I ordered online were already out for delivery. I was hoping it would get delivered before lunch just like on my previous order last August 20 so I kept waiting for the rider to call because it might be a different delivery rider this time and he might not find my address without my instruction.
Lunch came but still no call. I was planning to clean my bathroom around lunch but I can't do that until my parcel gets delivered. I waited for 3 hours more until I decided to just deal with the stuff at the corner of my room which I have neglected for 2 months. I kept the paper bags, threw the worn out hair ties, checked the receipts before throwing to remind myself to save up, and a lot more other stuff. I also removed the grocery receipts that have piled up in my bag. I believe keeping receipts in your bag and wallet attract you to spend more. Do you also feel that way?
I also kept my Demon Slayer movie ticket in my little envelope. Do you also keep your movie tickets? How shocking that the price went double after the pandemic!
I used to watch some movies with my mama as well and she loves it because she could get her ticket for a lower price through her senior discount. As you can see on the photo, she only paid Php 112 for Heneral Luna. Seniors would even get to watch one movie for free every Monday. I wonder if that still applies today.
Later on, I got out of my room for a bathroom break and when I went back to check my phone, I saw a miscall notification. I've waited hours and still missed the rider's call. Lol. Good thing it was the same rider who delivered my previous order.
I immediately checked on the app to see the status of my order and I sighed in relief to see that it was successfully delivered. Phew!
Good thing my father is always on look out for people knocking on the gate and he would always receive the parcels whenever I missed to answer the delivery rider's call. Although most riders from the orange app no longer call me and I would just get surprised when I see on the app that it was already delivered. 5 stars! Lol.
I was supposed to purchase two pants last August 20 but decided to initially get one to check if the size really fits me and if the pants looked okay with me. The first one was a bit loose on the waist but still alright so for my second purchase I chose the smaller size. It was a bit tight this time though I can still breathe. Haha! I also added two shirts because they were on sale. I've been eyeing these shirts for the longest time! The size for the other colors I want was already out of stock when I was about to chekc out so I went for other colors for now.
I also noticed that one was made in Vietnam and the other from China. I'm surprised that some of the Uniqlo shirts they sell here in the Philippines are still from Vietnam. I thought they've completely switched to China. The pants I ordered beforehand was also from China and the recent one on this package was from Vietnam. Or perhaps the ones from Vietnam were old stocks? Hmmm..Because the pants from Vietnam seem to have lots of creases and had some dusts on some parts. It's the downside of ordering things online. You can't choose a newer piece. This might be the pants they have on display. Yikes!
The one from China was longer for about a quarter of an inch. Not only that, because the China-made shirt was a bit tight on the collar area while the one from Vietnam felt more comortable on the collar and shoulder area. But overall, both clothing still feel good and the fabric is soft and light.
I really wish these pieces of clothing would last long. It was a good decision not to purchase a blouse at the mall last week because Uniqlo shirts went on sale after. But I'm deleting the app for now to prevent myself from browsing random clothes which might trigger me to spend again. I'll just get back maybe next year!
